"Mechanus and Carceri seem the biggest outliers," Alicia says. "Arcadia also possesses some element of risk but also a corresponding reward. Only Water and the Ethereal promise to be uneventful but it's a given with your stature that events will occur around you." She looks at Antenora. "In all honesty, the Carceri result has me extremely curious. I'm going to ask Naeys to look into that more deeply. Trouble on Mechanus for you could easily be the result of diabolical scheming, but anything good coming from you visiting Carceri... it's out of place. Perhaps none of your enemies are willing to follow you there?"

[Anastasia]

"Curiosity killed the cat, as they say," With a slight smile, "But is worth indulging in. I agree, Alicia, let's investigate Carceri."

[Ebiris]

"Don't use that phrase around Syala," she smiles. "Come, lets go visit Naeys and we can compare what I've found with his divinations and see if he can do anything more specialised for Carceri."

[Anastasia]

You find Naeys easily and...

Go ahead and set up what spells you want cast.

[Ebiris]

"After your warning I did some divinations of my own - simple ones en masse, really," Alicia begins. "And while it didn't narrow down where the threat to Antenora is coming from, a curiosity arose when the magic suggested she'd benefit from visiting Carceri within the week. Firstly, are you aware of any recent changes in Carceri, and do you know any divination spells that might be of use in better identifying this opportunity?"

[Anastasia]

Here Naeys frowns, "Carceri? That is a curiosity. There are spells that can be cast for that."

[Ebiris]

"I'm wondering if perhaps a potential ally has been recently imprisoned there - or is in a prison that's about to fail," Alicia says. "But it's only a guess brought about by the novelty of the result."

[Anastasia]

"Only a guess, but not a bad one," Naeys agrees, "Or...something seeks to imprison Antenora and is strong enough to muddy the results," he says, "Less likely, but it is Carceri."

[Ebiris]

"Hence why I'd like a more thorough analysis rather than just sending her there blind," Alicia agrees.

[Anastasia]

Antenora sits in Naeys's workshop, a place of study and books, a single desk here kept spotlessly clean. She listens as Naeys goes on, "Only a fool goes into Carceri blind, no matter how provoked."

A slight nod to that as Naeys considers, "In such a situation, I would begin with a wish to mimic a commune spell, so that Mystra's will may guide me in this matter. Were we to seek that, you have far more direct a channel to her, there is no point in my casting that spell. Were that commune fruitless or I needed more information, I would turn to more specialized magic. Sulnor's Show Fate is my personal standard, though the spell has limitations."

[Ebiris]

"Yes, commune is a bit superfluous for us," Alicia says dryly. Really it's the sort of spell she'd refuse to cast on principle - as a goddess she's the one that spell is supposed to go to, not come from!

"Do you have Sulnor's Show Fate prepared or can you manage it tomorrow?"

[Anastasia]

"I have it prepared," Naeys says, going to a cabinet and returning with a silver mirror. It is polished bright and dotted withdiamonds all along the outer rim of it, a circular mirror glowing with radiance. "This spell shows the coming week for the creature, the most probably future not including creatures warded by powerful magic against divinations or any actions that may arise as a result of this spell. Sulnor's Show Fate is powerful but understand its limits - it may well fail. Now Antenora, I need you to make the following vow, so that the spell will travel properly: I vow that as of this moment I plan to leave tomorrow to head to Carceri, though this may change."

Antenora raises an eyebrow.

"The spell travels the most probably future. A paladin making a vow to go somewhere is almost certainly the most probable future, even with a clause in it to escape that vow. The spell is powerful but guidance works the best." Naeys explains.

[Ebiris]

"The clause is fair," Alicia says, getting up to have a better angle for looking in the mirror.

[Anastasia]

"Then I vow that as of this moment I plan to head to Carceri, though I may change this," Antenora vows, and thus the spell is cast. It is not a quick spell, for Naeys circles Antenora and chants, tapping her forehead every pass.

"Odzamran fvue pafvu. Odo fvue ooanoan, Erathaol. Sv raasi tomofaow. Saanir Mystra dooain. Niis tomofaow, niis i lasdi dooain. Naeys, Naeys, Naeys."

Each circle Naeys chants these words, a steady voice imploring. He casts and casts until at last the mirror flashes bright and Naeys stops, silent.

Alicia is quiet and patiently waits through the chanting so she can see how the spell plays out.
