"Huge," Bastian says, "Scales red as blood, bigger than any naga I've seen. The face was beautiful, rather than ugly. Most other naga have ugly faces, but these are all nice to look at." Scowling a bit, "They had strong magic and despite their size, moved deftly."

Yes, based on that it's a worse case situation. They sound like ha-nagas, the most powerful type of nagas. Often worshiped or revered by lesser naga, these nagas are fearsomely powerful sorcerers and rare. An entire coven of them isn't quite apocalyptic for a normal Prime, but it's still a gigantic disaster that could see kingdom after kingdom fall to them.

They're notable for one particular passion: The desire to see civilizations collapse, then lair in the resulting ruins.

"Sounds like ha-nagas. Especially nasty. Keep a look out for a few so I can study one of these tablets before we leave."

This goes unremarkably enough, studying away. This particular tablet's front section seems to be about general magical theory and magical beasts.

Alyssa nods to herself.

"Okay, I think I have enough to recreate it in memory. That'll let me figure out what resources we need to get them all recreated. Let's get back."

Delaize reports and after a brief nod, "Yes, Alyssa?"

"Bastian has led me to a lost library. Everything is recorded on stone slabs and guarded by what seem to be ha-nagas. I've studied one so I can show it through my memory spell, but I'd like to start planning out how to reproduce them for use here. I'm thinking of returning and using a Wish to copy the slabs into my memory, then reproducing them safely here, but if I do that, my magic will be unreliable for a return. Or we could try a spell circle between us, and anyone else we can find trained in it, and just try to reproduce them flat out with Wish here. Your opinions?"
