Well, you have a name for this place now: Kapshel's Retreat. At least it's what the writers here call it. They refer it to it as a home of magic, a tower of sorcery. That's well and good.

However, there's one diary.  A diary by an unknown writer, who speaks of being stranded in a 'strange new realm, everyone else gone'. Of restless nights and ultimately leaving the diary as he vowed to go forth and explore this new realm.

Was that Deona, perhaps?

He will continue to go through other books, hoping to find anything else of use! There has to be something that points to what exactly happened...

It didn't list a name - but you do come on a mention of Deona after that. Skallard Deona, master of travel and of the tower.

Now that he has a name, he can see if there's anything else in the library that mentions them! Barring that, he has an idea!

Skallards is a title, roughly equivalent to archmage. Masters of travel are wizards who specialize in transportation magic and study the arts of the Valdosa, a particular type of spellcaster who gains greater ability with teleportation and similar magic.

Deona is a family name - the first name is usually omitted by custom when a title such as Skallard is available instead. The Deonas were a prosperous family based in Hagsport and Cape Fair Hope.
