Obviously the metal on it could be useful. As could the bones - creatures who grow metal are almost invariably strong boned, far more than human bones.

Alyssa uses the stone-knife-thing she picked up to harvest the useful things, carrying them a bit awkwardly as they go, keeping an eye out for any type of foliage she could use to weave a bag or clothes.

You manage to harvest several 'plates' of iron that you can take with you, strength and ability to carry them permitting.

Alyssa continues on, keeping her searching going for anything to make clothes out of while they go.

"Here Dolmaya, help me carry some of this."

[Anastasia]

Dolmaya does so, "We could make crude armor or a weapon," she muses, tapping it. "Good quality iron, too."

[Iron Dragoon]

Alyssa nods, "Yes, but we need at least a few tools first. Keep an eye out for anything that might look useful."

[Anastasia]

With that you begin to explore the valley, heading up the slopes. It's fairly barren, but you do notice a bit of grass as you continue upwards. Up the rocks and past the quickstone, past the beast you put down. A cold wind blows as you see ahead - no signs of caves dead ahead, just slopes rising sharply upwards.

"This is a pretty barren area. Not much usable here that I can see..."

[Anastasia]

"Not much," Dolmaya says, "Still, I think the point is to make something - you want something for your mind?"

Alyssa nods, "I have a way to use it to improve my odds in the test. If I can make something powerful enough, I can almost guarantee success."
