Rebirth and redemption

Alyssa heads towards the nearest end of the river.

As you walk you see it ahead - another patch of sharp stones blocking progress forward.

Alyssa points it out to Dolmaya, trying to spot any of the little elementals.

Now that you know what to look for, it's easy to spot them.

"Same as last time?" Dolmaya suggests.

[Iron Dragoon]

Alyssa shrugs, "You want to have a go? I don't have another of that spell ready."

[Anastasia]

Dolmaya nods slightly, "Step back."

[Iron Dragoon]

Alyssa does so, watching.

[Anastasia]

Dolmaya strides forward and they go to meet her. Yet as they do, Dolmaya gestures. A sweeping gesture, as if to ward away something unpleasant. "Begone from me!" she declares.

The assembled rocks are tossed asunder, far away and landing in broken heaps of rubble. For hundreds of feet around her they are all gone, tossed away. "That," Dolmaya glances back at you, "Is how you clear the way."

"... I used to be able to do that with my telekinesis."

Alyssa sighs, "Something to deal with after this."

[Anastasia]

Dolmaya dusts her hands off, and in a slightly softer voice, "Come along then, let's find a cavern and end this trial."

[Iron Dragoon]

"Yes, yes, your empress-ness."

Alyssa quirks a small smile at her.

"I'm going to bathe for a week after this."

[Anastasia]

"Mmm. Not I, I find this rather invigorating," Dolmaya says, "As long as there's privacy and nothing but the challenges of the natural world." She smiles back just a little bit, "It feels daring too, we always depend so much on our equipment, clad in the wealth of a nation to bolster our abilities."

[Iron Dragoon]

Alyssa chuckles, "Well, now I know what to hint to Jarem."

A bit more quietly, "I.. might have enjoyed this more, with different circumstances."
