It's definitely different.

It's much more complex and difficult than normal item forging, but also faster and fortifies the item.

You don't get this feat or anything, but pasting it here for mechanical reasons so that what it does is understood. The difficulty is simulated by the requirement of a feat spent on it.

Queen's Forges [General]
Prerequisite: Any item creation feat
Benefit: You decrease the time needed to forge magical items by 25%. The hardness of any item you create rises by 2 and the hit points of it by 4.
