"If this creature is alive, maybe we should just kill it." Moore says. "Well, for some definition of alive, anyway... Xandra, what does your insight tell you?"

Moore ponders for a moment. "I could probably invoke some divine power to create an effect like a sphere of force." He says.

Theoretically, I'd think using Miracle / Wish to make a Wall of Force spell but spherical that can travel with the party would be doable?

[Anastasia]

Could work.

Xandra flies up and rests a hand on sundered flesh. "It has an echo of life," she says slowly. "But not true life. It lives just enough to linger at death's door."

[Nephrite]

"We should put it to rest somehow." Moore says. "Do you sense where that echo of life may be coming from? I can manage to protect us from the acid, so we should be safe to travel, but if the whole cavern fills up it'll be problematic."

[Anastasia]

"Deep within, far deeper," Xandra replies after a few moments.

[Nephrite]

"Why do I have a sinking suspicion about where this is going to go..." He then invokes his own power to create a sphere of movable force around the party.

Take 10 for 97. Will also keep up Arcane Sight and look for anything new and different. Take 10 for 113 on Spellcraft, 118 on K:A.

Let's also do a K:P check for 118... any idea what this thing used to be called and any history on it?

It had many names. The Hungry, the Twisting Serpent, The Scourger. All mean nothing since it was ultimately defeated in a grand war vastly far in the past. Some whispers it could have been a cousin of the Jormugandr, but the wiser know it was simply a horror gotten out of control on Acheron. Some sort of wyrm, a vast, hungering thing that wasn't stopped until it was almost too late.

It was not divine, but merely a beast grown to vast ability and forgotten as the years went past by the handfuls of millions.

"Any ideas why Time Stop didn't work earlier? I thought it might've been because something divine in nature had something to do with this, but I don't think that's it." Moore says as they travel along, keeping an eye on the acid levels below them. "But hopefully we can put it to rest permanently, for all that its soul has likely long departed this place."

[Anastasia]

"Some innate ability of the beast," Sylvie reflects on it a few moments, "Stirred into ability thanks to the situation it is in now."

"Rather like our own trick, we aren't the only ones who can do it, either," Cresiel points out.

[Nephrite]

Moore nods. "Well, if for some reason it's soul is still here, let's do whatever we can for it. No one deserves to suffer quite like this." He says as they go along.

On the drool falls, but on your shield holds. Onward and forward, through the drool. Soon you notice the level has risen even higher, and ahead you can see it's reached the roof. That might be a problem.

Do I think another miracle / wish could be used to create a stronger Control Water that might be able to work, assuming this counts as water and not... not that?

I.e. a persistent Control Water that basically makes the drool move out of our way as we go. Can be limited to just outside of the sphere, so, say 15 feet around them.
