"So it is with so many we call 'greatest'," Alicia says glumly, considering Eblis and Triel. It's a good reason to stay humble!

[Corwin]

"Yes, it happens a lot," Seira agrees with a grimace. Why is it a binary choice, though? If you believe in your own greatness, why not follow the dragonic path or something? Why do you have to fall if you can't ascend properly? Flying works in three dimensions....

[Anastasia]

"Out of love, she volunteered to join the fey," Morwel goes on, "With tears I accepted. With sorrow I watched as she grew fascinated by winter. Then, for reasons I know not, she petitioned Ao. I do not know what she told him or how she succeeded, but she was accepted." She closes her eyes here, a soft frown on her face like a ghost's memories and regrets. It fades just as easily before, "Thus was the Unseelie Court born."

[Corwin]

"Have you tried reaching out to her?"

[Anastasia]

"I have," Morwel says, but does not elaborate on that. "We will meet at the end, when the time comes for the two families to be reunited. It will not be the final day, but it will be one close to it."

[Corwin]

"If you believe it is inevitable," Seira voices, "why wait until later to meet decisively?"

[Ebiris]

"She was... reasonable enough, in the end when I had to parlay with her," Alicia says. "But I now suspect Chlyas instigated that conflict. Chylas slew Snowwind while wearing my face."

[Anastasia]

"That victory will serve a purpose there that can be accomplished at no other time," Queen Morwel says, "A purpose that may yet save her soul."

Then her beautiful gaze turns to Alicia, "Such an imitation would be within his ability."

[Ebiris]

"Although... it was an avatar. Either he's been a deity for longer than suspected, or there's some other trickery at play," Alicia admits, thinking on it deeper.

That gift Zaphkiel gave them to hasten their avatars' growth, might Shar have access to something similar?

[Anastasia]

"It may be so. I would not put it beyond Shar to hide such a fact," Morwel agrees, "It is not yet well known that another of Moore's companions is a deity, and she wishes not to Compete. This information has not spread far and it is not greatly hidden, and Shar can hide something many times superior to that."

[Ebiris]

"Yes. I still don't have proof anyway, it's just an educated guess based on these new facts. Without a way to find and confront him, there's little I can do. But Selune is preparing to strike against Shar again, she should know about these potential complications," Alicia says.

[Corwin]

"Oh, she is? I was hoping to hear from her again soon. Is there anything concrete?"

[Anastasia]

"I have not heard that yet," Morwel concurs, "What is it she will do?"

[Ebiris]

"Not yet," Alicia answers, shaking her head. "After Shar's attack on Mystra reprisals must be made, but it's currently more a desire than a plan. She did ask me to tell her if I had any insights that would prove useful, and the presence of at least three unknown deities working under Shar certainly qualifies."

[Anastasia]

"Tell her, but impress the need for discretion," Morwel agrees.
