"We won't learn anything by just leaving, and this isn't a place that we're going to be able to learn anything about except here." Moore says. "For now, we proceed on. If things seem like they're getting worse and worse, then we will adjust what we need to do."

He will refresh Inspire Heroics for the bonus to saves and Inspire Excellence for the bonus to Charisma (and bonus to saves and everything else.

[Anastasia]

"No sense but to go forward," Sylvie agrees, as you all go on.

Heading back down?

[Nephrite]

That is correct. We will go back to the stairwell if we can.

[Anastasia]

You return to the stairwell with yet more walking, but no threats, either.

[Nephrite]

Moore nods and heads down the 6th stairway.

We'll continue in order, 6 through 10 unless something of interest happens on the way.

[Anastasia]

On checking the sixth one, you find that door is instead locked - with a keyhole, even.

[Nephrite]

"I've stopped trying to understand this place." Moore says as he attempts to put the key in it and see if it fits!

If it does, he will see if it unlocks the door, then open it.

[Anastasia]

"Six. Demonic numerology? We are in a Lower Plane," Sylvie notes, "Or it could mean nothing at all."

"No way to know due to the Guardian," Xandra says as you put the key in. It fits and unlocks the door."

[Nephrite]

"I doubt it has any particular meaning." Moore says. "I don't think the Guardian was interested in numerology."

He takes the key out just in case and opens the door, curious to see if what's behind it is just another prison.

[Anastasia]

It leads to another stairwell going down. This one is dark and only lit by a few torches that burn away.

[Nephrite]

"Nothing for it except to go forward." Moore says as he proceeds on down the stairs!

There's absolutely no magic here. It may as well be a dead magic area for all the nothing you detect.

At the bottom of the stairs is a room. Unremarkable to your eyes, dull save for one feature. An over sized lever, a plain bit of parchment attached to it.

[Nephrite]

Moore will fly over to read the parchment, frowning as to what he thinks it might say.

[Anastasia]

It reads simply: "Your reward. You won't be able to keep any of them, but they'll be freed. It's your choice."
