I feel your pain on that one, Dune. The cat got locked in the bedroom and peed on my old mattress, so I had to go get a new one. I'll get used to it eventually, I'm sure, but for now I keep waking up frequently in the night.

Yeah. I'm used to it now, but fuck did those first few nights blow. In an unrelated story, I try to do a good thing at work and end up getting an extra assignment just before quitting time. That's lovely reinforcement there, eh?

I get a call on the weekend for someone in the Richmond office, 2.5 hours away. So I help them (they're not even my office), and the result was to have everybody work a extra 4 hours on the weekend for 3 months.

Use it and get used to it. Trust me on this one. <_< This is doubly ironic, since I have a bitch about mouthwash I came to post. Namely, laughing while getting mouthwash in your mouth is a GREAT way to accidentally swallow the entire mouthful.  Fuckin' A, my throat stung for a good half hour.

First complaint; five bucks? Where do you live, the mid 90's? I haven't had a movie that cheap in a loooong time.

Second complaint; One Piece. How does a series that's usually so good to me make such GODAWEFUL movies? Movie 6 is complete and utter crap. did they not have enough room to do their preaching and make a decent movie at the same time? Crap. Crap crap crap. I should have known what I was in for having suffered the previous movies and all, but damnit I had hope. Hope that was squashed like a goddamned bug.

First, it was a 4 dollar matinee, plus a one dollar fee for ordering my ticket online.

Second....welcome to the world of popular long running series. : / You can see the same thing in not just One Piece movies, but DBZ's movies, Pokemon's movies, and pretty much any anime with a yearly flick. XP

I've actually enjoyed the Pokemon movies quite a bit. Probably because the reverse of the One Piece movies seem to happen; Ash is allowed to grow and be nifty more than in the anime (in such a short timeframe) whereas the One Piece moives seem to depower everyone to an annoying level (and make them incredibly stupid). It's like watching Naruto filler. ;_;

I've actually enjoyed the Pokemon movies quite a bit. Probably because the reverse of the One Piece movies seem to happen; Ash is allowed to grow and be nifty more than in the anime (in such a short timeframe) whereas the One Piece moives seem to depower everyone to an annoying level (and make them incredibly stupid). You mean open with a fight set to music, meet the cast, a little Team Rocket hijinks, main fight (in which Ash may or may not die but will be brought back by the power of PLOT), resolution, possibly a little more Team Rocket, and the clsing credits with Ash and co. randomly traveling what looks to be an awesome fantasy setting?

How could that possibly be considered pedictable? :)

I was thinking more along the lines of....

Ash visits a new fantastic place. Ash meets a ZOMG LEGEND. Generic One-Shot Evil Dude/Dudette wants ZOMG LEGEND. Ash tries to protect ZOMG LEGEND.

ZOMG HUGEASS BATTLE.

Ash says goodbye to ZOMG LEGEND. Roll credits!
