I need to get IRC on here.  And aim.  Even when using two computers to compile shit, it still leaves too much wait time.

Dracos
Well, Goodbye.

KLSymph

My computer died, thus mocking all my efforts to fix its internet connection.

In unrelated news, I've been doing my regular "study how to take my writing to the next level" work, and I've crossed a threshold on that journey (finally found a good model for writing active scenes, if you're curious; it's one of my weaknesses).  Of course, whenever I improve my understanding of writing, moderating the Anime Addventure every day becomes harder, more straining, as I observe my fellows not similarly improving on their own (plus, you know, the "can't do punctuation" problem).

To relieve that strain, I need to drag the AA across a threshold of its own so those writers don't lag too far behind. Whenever I do that, some group or another throws a crying hissy fit.

I don't know how much longer I can take this cycle.

Might have to just crushinate soon.

Brian

Crushinating AA fools is awesome.  I want front-row seats~! :D

I'll need some time to prepare, since I was slacking during the months I was fixing my computer and working on my scene-building.

Right now, I'm just going to seal up the "if you post long episodes I'll let you slide on more errors" loophole. That consideration is supposed to encourage writers to post more thoughtful episodes, but some proofreading-challenged people take it to mean "post garbage in bigger chunks". Then I have to read them.

Also, I'm posting a "do you know what you're doing?" rule.

Quote from: "KLSymph, Restart Cascade! addition"Threads extended from the Restart Cascade! must have a discernable story direction and make noticable progress toward that direction within the first few episodes. If you don't know what it means for a story to have a direction, what it means for a story to progress, or how those things are detected, I recommend you research the matter; otherwise, extend from the Cascade! at your own risk, and keep backups.

It seems so stupid as I sit here typing it, but if rule #16 (will you people stop discussing ideas and start writing them?!) is any indication, I'll see people not understanding the point of this rule.

Edit: added "how those things are detected" line to rule. Preemptive strike against dumbness.

Oversleeping a nap, and thus not getting any sleep last night at all, going to a thesis presentation as a last resort plea for support, and finally heading over to a friend's for a couple-few hours of gaming...to find him falling over drunk because of the nearby block party, and his soon to be boyfriend (right as soon as the boyfriend breaks up with his boyfriend) half-drunk, and desiring a repetitive digestion of social anxiety.

Work was meh today.

Oh well

Dracos
Well, Goodbye.

Being exempted from a bonus for your hard work by someone in the corporate office who just didn't think about things.  Having the same corporate someone inadvertently make your job needlessly more difficult because they just didn't think about things.  Having a whole group of people behind that one try to 'help', and just worsen the situation.

Feeling totally helpless in the face of things that cause unhappiness, even when your situation feels like it should be stable enough that there shouldn't be anything to worry about.

I think my chemical depression is kicking in again.

Damn eye surgery. When they were pulling the sutures in my eyes, it felt like someone kicked me in the face. Plus everything is all blurry and I'm leaking blood tears and I have to wear full cover sunglasses to prevent bright light in. And the eyedrops are a pain in the ass. And I feel like I have a hangover and am extremely tired.

On a more positive note, morphine is great.

KLSymph

Ah, the new standard bears fruit already! Usually I wouldn't subject everyone to what I have to deal with for the last three years, but I feel like spreading the joy today.

Quote from: "KLSymph's reply"Hi!

>Dude man i was just asking you take my stuff down cause i think your a power hungry lil nazi bastard and I don't wany to be associated with such people.

I knew why you want your stuff taken down.  Everyone who makes that request has the same reason: pettiness.  But please, can call it whatever you like.

>I know you feel like you have 'power' and 'authority' because of your massive status as a 'system admin' on a tiny anime based website but get over it.

Since you plainly have no reading comprehension, I'll explain it to you: in life, people have constraints on what they can do.  When you ask for something and I can't give it to you, I want to tell you why so that you can understand my actions.  The idea that I'm lording my power and authority by telling you that they don't stretch far is ridiculous to everyone who has logic.

>Listening to your excuses for being a prick just makes me want to distance myself further from any group that would be dumb enough to give a person like you power over it. I had wanted to be nice but damn man you really are just the ass I thought you were, guess that's what I get for trying to not judge a book by its cover.

Of course.  If a moderator doesn't overstep his bounds, then that's all you need to know to tell he's a prick, isn't it?  I'm sure that makes plenty of sense to you.

>So lil man why don't you tell the real people in charge to take my stuff down, since you don't have any real power to do anything besides say "I AM GOD HERE!!! LISTEN TO MY RULES AND IF YOU BEZ MUY FRIEND OR LICK MY DICK I CUT YUZ STUFF DOWNS HAHAHAH'

Because moderator emails are automatically copied to all moderators, so Bast! already had your request, but he doesn't handle day-to-day operations so you should go and ask him personally.

>If you don't take my stuff down, not that I care anymore since I doubt I'll waste my time looking at what you turn the place into, no skin off my nose.

I'm sure I'll cry myself to sleep tonight knowing you don't care about how I run the Addventure.

>Have fun with your fake power and once you drive everybody way I hope you don't kill yourself.

Your concern is touching.

>But then again people like you often tend to so I won't hold my breath.

By all means, don't hold your breath, since holding it means you expect me to drive everyone away and kill myself quickly, and by not holding it, you show you're confident that I won't do those things anytime soon.  Thanks for the support.  I hope you learn how to proofread someday.

It's so hard to stop myself from appending "Retard" to these emails, but I still manage to do so. Usually I try to be even kinder in the previous email, but I didn't try as hard yesterday since he was already doing the "you're a bad mod" routine, and there's only so much of that I can take from people who don't know what they're talking about.
