Yeah, but I just dumped 350~ dollars into new tires.  Getting the repair should last (barring accidents) quite some time, and either way, until I can afford the repairs, I don't have to pay insurance (handy, that).

And the loaner car is my epilleptic roommate's.  She can't drive it for medical reasons, so she lets me borrow it.  Her brother wanted it for the weekend, so I got his powder-blue Chevy Astro with broken fuel gauge.  He gave it to me with criminally filthy windshield and, "Probably about 60 miles of gas in it, but the meter don't work right, so your guess is as good as mine."

I am totally expecting her car to be returned in the same condition.

There was an explanation about the gauge, which took about ten minutes.  The gist of it was, "When the fuel gauge starts acting up, put more in."

New whine:

FFIII DS sucks.  One of my guys died, and I was out of phoenix downs.  No store I could get to at that point in the game could sell me more.  My white mage couldn't cast Life because it wasn't for sale anywhere.  Couldn't find a clinic/healer, or anything.  And by the time I decided that I didn't care if a healer were right around the corner, GameStop was closed.  Boo. :(
