They are really hammering SMF 1.x forums it seems.  SMF 2.x ones are significantly more resliant, but I've been waiting for them to go final there (and they just have been dropping the ball)

How beta is SMF 2.x, anyway? It may be worth the upgrade if it's a stable beta.

It's pretty darn stable, but also just was really hoping for them to finalize it.  They're in some kind of political shit-stirring mess at the moment adjusting their licensing terms :(, it's kind of dehabilitating to that community maintaining it.

The off the top that I hear is that pretty much all mods break every update with SMF 2.x at the moment, and that makes it a bit untempting to get on :(

I am being asked to commit some form of puppy-based crime to fabricate evidence to get a dog killed....

I got out of this on moral grounds, even though I believe the pitbull in question deserves to die, but I also think it'll happen without any deceit.  He did kill a smaller dog.

I say this realizing that my life has somehow turned into a f%#$@ing soap opera.  It really has.

Puppy court is this morning, and after that, my mom and stepfather would be going to a wedding in Oregon.  Would be, except....

She fell over last night at dinner, and hit her head on a pole, then fell to the sidewalk.

Thirteen stitches, four internal stitches, and 12 hours at the ER later, she comes home, so it seems that they're not going to the wedding....

But, man.  Always something crazy stupid dramatic gotta be happening.

I'm expecting a crazed ex with a gun any moment now.
