So another instance of, "that sounds cool," and then a lack of follow-through?

While I'll get over it, I don't intend to try running another game online.  The underlying issue is the fact that I didn't want to run this game -- I was pressured into it.  'Keep trying' doesn't feel like the right answer.

I wouldn't have minded terribly if I weren't pressured into it -- and then ignored.  But I did this by request.

Trying to find good FF7 fanfiction is one thing. Trying to find good FF7 fanfiction without yaoi is difficult as hell.

Boiling eight years down into a few lines has that effect.

However, given that most employers only read the first page of most resumes, that's actually a good thing.  Having worked so many jobs that they can't fit on a single page in a decade is much worse.

I don't want to sound like a dick here, but honestly? That line right there tells me it's probably for the best that it fell through. Running a game when you don't actually want to can make you resent your players and poison the freindship like nothing else. I let myself get pressured into running a game once! It turned out to be the worst game I ever ran, and I sorely regret ever doing it.

I landed in DFW at midnight.

At 1 am I was in the hospital for sharp pains in my stomach.

At 2 am I found out I have apendicitis (which is better than what I was expecting: a herniea).

So now I have surgey at 4 pm.

Hell of a way to spend my first day home. Guess it's better than it happening 8000 feet into the mountains of a war zone, though.
This is not the greatest post in the world, no... this is just a tribute.
