Set traps for them! Unless California has laws against it! Which would be dumb, but I wouldn't put it past them to have laws protecting burglars against traps!

Two days ago I dropping my laptop (trying to put it in it's case/backpack so I don't drop it) and at first it seemed nothing was wrong. Until my computer froze and and so I restarted it, only to have it take half an hour to boot up and once it was done, all I got was a black screen. Took it in to have it looked at, and the most likely problem is that the hard drive is damaged. Looking at $170 for repairs.

Problem:
My beloved cats are kicking cat litter on the floor from the litter box.

Further problem:
Due to said litter being present, particularly lazy cats now think the floor is a good place to poo and pee on, rather than going through all the effort of jumping into the litter box and doing their business there.

Worst problem:
I have carpets, not wood floor...and one of the cats just peed on them.

I'd rather not say how bad.

On the plus side, my birthday was relatively calm this year, even if it involved my sister and my parents not meeting each other.

Last year the drama hit on my birthday and I'd made a decision to just work during my birthday this year. Then work crap happened and we got forced to take vacation off, so I'd been dreading my birthday (and isn't that just the peachiest?) and was happy when there was no drama.

Silly me, it was just waiting for the morning after.

But at least I wasn't left depressed as hell on my birthday this year, so there's that.

I can't win the family holiday drama game. I just can't.

FML, I try to broker peace and now everything is worse. Should have stayed in my own home and played something online.

Vertigo sucks. I've been laid up in bed all day. Can't get up without the whole ground spinning around me. Was hoping it would get better over the course of the day but still stuck horizontal. Definitely need to see a doctor tomorrow bah.
