A friend tried to contact me in April, after vanishing for several months. For some reason, they did it by sending a message in Skype, and I didn't open up my Skype acct for months after that. By that time the message has been deleted from 'recent' messages, and I can't figure out how to get the UI to display not recent messages (on Linux . The only way I can even tell there was a message is a quirk of the UI where the contacts list shows the date they tried to contact me.

Just sent a frantic message to try to get back in touch.

Well, several days back I noticed a slight pain in my left leg right about knee-thigh area and checked it to see some sensitive red skin. I assumed I had twisted or pulled a muscle in my sleep, and proceeded to try an walk it off.

Fast forward to now the whole thing is swollen and I'm taking painkillers to walk. Going to the doctor first thing in the morning.
I'm going to need your signature for the metric ton of whoop-ass you're about to receive.
