Well, Goodbye.

I laughed at the gate scene. That's one way to nope an arc.

https://www.fanfiction.net/s/4573620/19/A-Drop-of-Poison has been updating, and per endnotes, has finished arc 1.

https://www.fanfiction.net/s/7657235/29/Path-of-the-King appears to bring in a slight Akamatsu xover.

In other news, Mushoku Tensei. A light novel/web novel about a guy from modern Japan reincarnated into Fantasyverse. Pretty fun, and very long.
Read through part 175.

Comments:
(1) There are not many countries where one can start with the last line of the first paragraph and still find success.
(2) Next time I read a Naruto fanfic which describes someone going into Sage mode, I'm going to crack up.
(3) The early volumes have the approach of a SI fanfic.  As a fanfic SI, the early story would be pretty drab, but the approach works well enough since the reader is exploring the world contemporaneously with the baby/toddler protagonist.

Came across Records of Change this morning. It's a diary style story following Louise's life after she fails to summon a familiar and leaves the academy. It's a really neat new spin on the story, since the threat of Louise having to leave the academy often gets treated as the end of the story. This shows there's life still to be lived after that. A life of horrible setbacks, yes, but also hard-earned triumphs.

Mmm, kind of neat as a different thing.  It is very narrow at points, but it is an interesting story of Louise surviving on with her life, additionally with interesting flavor on the noble society.  Louise is rather isolated, in a sense.

Thanks for sharing.
Well, Goodbye.

Naruto is 3.
Running from evil villagers with stabby things.
And done.

It's such a shame when fics do that.
Well, Goodbye.

Read through this recently.  It's cute and light-hearted.  It's fight with the wizard world tropes are unfortunate lowpoints, but it is a cute mishmash of marvel comics with the harry potter world.
Well, Goodbye.

Not really a fan of hardcore TSUN(dere), so the premise is interesting.  I'm not a great fan of "dear diary" fics as a writing style, since they're just large sets of vignettes.  I'm sure everyone knows my opinion on "my outline is my story" stories, so won't belabor the point.

I'd like to see this turned into a proper fic.

Nakama Naruto fic found via randomly clicking.  I'm not a fan of the title, since it gives one the impression that this is going to be a fic of wheeling and dealing, triple crosses, and the like.  There really isn't much of that at all though; it's about learning teamwork with political pressure as a vague reason to move the plot.

Finished this, to where it is currently.

It's okay.  A lot written, but it never really steps out of that to my mind.  It's a time travel story going from Shepard at the discussion point at the end of ME3, suddenly being flung back to the beginning of the series, right after being made a spectre.  Having knowledge on where to be able to show proof, or how to hit critical things early, Shepard throws stuff off the rails quickly, but at the same time, the story is keeping that the reapers are still a massive presence, Saren is still around acting as their operative, and the whole mass effect problem (Using eezo is destroying the universe) is still there.  Also, the races still don't like each other and playing high cards early means that Harbringer gets more aggressive sooner.

Perhaps the most well delivered plot bit in it is the indoctrination being both a real thing, used to explain a lot of the poor decision making that got the universe into a bad state, and attacked directly as something that can be blocked or fixed.  It also takes some interesting angles on cloning.

But overall it doesn't shine.  Certain events are very cluttered with what's going on in them.  It doesn't keep a team together much, so there's a bit of a revolving door of cast.
Well, Goodbye.

Out of character, but kind of a cute tv series take on Zaeed, the merc with a heart.

Yeah, out of character :P

Kinda neatish.  Takes a lot of time to scene set, and takes an easy angle of giving most of the cast known powersets, precisely following certain heroes.  That said, it in a sense is a more plausible build up to large world-spanning secret organization then Eva's 'there just is one', which is neat.

Kinda crazy.  Shepard gets warped over to DA2 world.  It's kinda wish-fiction really, and while long fails to have a significant impact on the storyline so far.  It does have an interesting take on Thedas being an experimental world, for the salarians and the protheans before them, but Shepard feels really wacky in it.
Well, Goodbye.
