If you're looking for quickly updating fanfics...well, I don't have any.

But in terms of translations, I've been following Coiling Dragon (which I've posted about before, and which updates about 3 times a day.  I feel there's some Japanese influence in the worldbuilding) and http://gravitytranslations.com/zhan-long/english/ which updates about 2 chapters a day. 

The later takes place in a VRMMO.  This isn't SAO redux; the main character dies quite a bit.

Pretty interesting chapter. There's some legitimate anxiety on Naruto's end about possibly being the bijuu. Killer B's role was a nice touch, enjoyed his insinuations regarding Naruto's and Samui's bond with each other. The way the author paces this makes it so that a match doesn't go on for more than 2 chapters. I like that. Pumped for the next battle.

mmm, I've looked at his moon one a couple of times and had trouble getting through the sudden moon obsession right at the beginning.  The howling one has been fun though.

A Chinese web novel, translated by the author!

Of course, since the author's native language is Chinese, there's the occasional linguistic oddity but it's quite readable.  Two volumes are complete, and the third is up to chapter 10.

Overall, I'd describe it as a blend of "spaghetti" wuxia ("You cannot defeat my Awesome Force" "Hah, your meager martial skill is nothing against my Golden Divine technique "  "Wow, an unexpected breakthrough by combining the Awesome Force with the Saucesome Force means I can now defeat you") and harem anime in fantasy wuxia setting.  It is not precisely high literary-value writing, but i found it to be a fun read.

Imagine my surprise when I found a really good fic in a fandom with less than 100 of them. I really enjoy Oregairu and I think this was able to emulate the style and progression of the source material. Although, I don't agree with where the author's taken it in the latest chapter considering the character development Hachiman's gone through in the current light novel by the time the fic starts. Still, I'm enjoying this far and I think he was able to nail Haruno pretty well. Love her.

Yet another MMO setting.  This one is about a Korean anti-heroic male cheerleader (no, that's not what the translation actually says his class is, but...).

That said, I like this story quite a bit more than most of the other translations I'm currently following.  To the point where, if I could direct the internet to quickly finish a quality translation of any non-English work, this would be #2.

The machine translations (which pick up where the project went abandoned at chapter 4.4) seem pretty readable.  There's the occasional rough spot, but it's not to the point where anyone who reads fics on ff.net should feel that it's excessive.

I am looking forward to updates.  It has the feel of old SM fics so far, and Dresden is the sort of character that is made for heroic action stories.
