It's firmly okay and not much more in either direction. It's fine for what the author said it is - an exercise in getting a chapter out each day. I respect that and what he's doing. This doesn't make the best literature ever and that's fine, it's just writing discipline practice. Getting a story out of it's purely a fun bonus.

That was a fun chapter, and a great separation from the 'let me go tête-à-tête with my allies and try ...something'.  Chrono trigger references are always great.

[spoiler]There isn't anything directly wrong with the fic so far. Sure, being able to thinker the Endbringers and Scion is potentially broken, but I can live with it. If she's an OCP, it makes sense, since Worm precog only fails on them due to restrictions set in place by the Entities. They have no innate resistance to those sort of powers, so fine, whatever. However, something about the fic plus some author comments have me starting to feel this is going down the path of unneededly overpowered Taylor-ness. It's setting off my alarms with each chapter.

Agreed. I read a bit and thought it was flat and not good at all.

Yeah, I got a decent way into therepy but it just got worse with each chapter.  The tentacles were a definite 'you can't tell the difference between crack and coherent can you?' moment.

I haven't read the fic at issue, but this sound like one of those questions that you may not really want answered.

Yeaaaaaah. How does a therapy power turn into tentacles? I almost want to know just out of sheer WTF.

The author (who briefly pitched the fic as rationalist, then as humanist) had Taylor (on effectively first meeting) befriend/help Pancaea.  Then ask for a tuneup/brute powers.  Then they started discussing options.  Then taylor demanded tentacles to be able to striker power people at range.

It was a very stupid scene, and like many stupid scenes had spider silk references in a story without insect powers being involved.
