Chapter-long fight scene, with ending twist that doesn't seem out of place in a worm-based setting.

The next is also on spacebattles I think?  Anyhow he does two chapters in a row that both end with "and rin was dead".  Kinda wouldn't mind him moving on.
Well, Goodbye.

Quote from: Dracos on October 09, 2016, 12:43:23 AMBeen reading a lot of random stuff.  Glassmaker https://forums.spacebattles.com/threads/glassmaker-worm.433391/ is kinda pointless with Taylor the hippie glass maker of aura of 'Hey dude, Chill Out?'

I sort of like that fic, but only reading it like a half remembered dream. It has a distinctly dream-like quality to it, something that appeals when you just accept it for what it is and consume it like cotton candy.

I should probably actively crawl spacebattles instead of waiting for people to post interesting links.

On the flip side, waiting for you all to post fics means I don't have to suffer through dross, so maybe I should just keep doing what I'm already doing.

Dreaming of Sunshine updated.

Destruction Of evil Seal updated, but just seems filler.  Maybe it's a lead in to a new arc, or something.  It's not bad, but I kind of expected more after a few summer months.

Not a bad call. Spacebattles has a horrible signal to noise ratio.

It's not exactly pleasant, though the threadmarks and watched threads options allow you to ignore most of the posts.
What if they're not stars at all? What if the night sky is full of titanic far-off lidless eyes, staring in all directions across eternity?

It is not lisa's fault.

https://forums.spacebattles.com/threads/skein-worm-altpower-au.437953/ may at some point be interesting.  Playing with odd dictionary based master power.

Skein is interesting for the buildup, we will see if the payoff's worth it.

Constellations has updated a few times recently. I'm still not digging this fic and wish the author would work on anything else. I know inspiration is what it is, but it feels like the author's weakest story by a mile. Based on all the hype around it, I'm probably alone on that one.

https://forums.spacebattles.com/threads/centipede-worm-tokyo-ghoul.431353/ Slacker recommended this to earlier today.  It's...a surprisingly interesting take not knowing the other side of the crossover.  Taylor has cannibal trigger and it doesn't go well for her.  She tries to make her way anyway, after getting named by a surprisingly thoughtful take on Kenta/Lung.  It just reached the leviathan, with Taylor having put together the most powerful gang in the city...  despite Lung and his ABB still being at full strength.

It focuses a lot on 'okay, so there's parahumans, but a gang is not 3 people.  Territory is not 3 people.  Folks get involved with this for reasons.'

Basically trying to make a plausible ecosystem around the gang culture of brockton.  Recommend.

I saw this on the forum but always skipped by 'cause I don't know the crossover. Working through it now and yeah, it's good and prior knowledge isn't required. Stuff focused on the gangland/warlord part of Worm is my jam, so thanks for the recommendation Drac/Slacker.

Glad you enjoyed Eb.  It's got some really neat stuff.  I liked nobody explaining unwritten rules to her for a while, with her not getting it in light of 'hey the guys in my gang without a mask on are still people.  My people.'

I've seen a small bit of tokyo ghoul and it basically seemed super-power dystopia, only half those with superpowers are canabalism fueled and/or insane.  Seemed uninteresting, while having a single person dealing with it can be compelling.
Well, Goodbye.

New fic, first chapter has tons of potential. Depends where it ends up going, but it's interesting.
