For anyone following The Senshi Files: Silver Warden, that fic's apparently dead. While not explicitly said, I get the impression the huge dramafest on Spacebattles killed the author's interest in writing.

Briefly and probably mangling some details:

- New chapters posted.

- Growing argument by a few people that the Sailor Moon side of the crossover is being disrespected.

- Argument keeps going and going in Spacebattles fashion.

- A low level mod tries to stop it, but if I recall right, doesn't really work out.

- After awhile and some arguing the author washes his hands of Spacebattles and stops posting it there, moves solely to FF.net.

- No activity for 2-3 months.

- Fic's announced as dead.

Man, and I was just looking at another fic that was barely two chapters (with almost nothing going on) and not even out of the first page it had people going on about being disrespectful to the sailor moon canon. 

And this was a Ryuugi fic.  Guess spacebattles just has a toxic sailor moon community around :(

https://forums.spacebattles.com/threads/an-enigmatic-source-of-knowledge-worm.479656/ - this guy has tried twice now to do a Touhou/Worm cross.  Both times overwriting a fair bit of Taylor with the source touhou character.  I...mmm, I always do enjoy some of the vibe, but it feels like he just doesn't have a fantastic grasp of the setting he's going with to make it work.  Latest chapter ends with an absurd Alexandria scene that just feels like trying to go for a comedy bit (Oh look, ignorant butler sends off famous character at door) at the expense of buying into the scenario (Okay, worm character with epic magic system).

I'm curious...how exactly does one "disrespect" SM canon?  Even on the FFML, I remember people complaining that fics weren't canon-compliant, but can't remember anyone complaining about "disrespect" per se.

Also, which SM canon?  Because it might be possible to write a fic that follows manga continuity (and I think I have the Hitoshi Doi translations lying around somewhere), get the haters to hate on it, then start a religious schism by pointing out that the manga continuity "is the real authentic continuity" or something along those lines. 

I wouldn't do it myself since I don't post to spacebattles (or even read it unless someone here posts a link).  But it seems like something I'd want to do if I ever wrote a SM fic and got dogpiled by SM-zealots.

I remember back in the day there were tons of Ranma crossovers that depicted the senshi as helpless bimbos incapable of doing anything without their magic to be held up as punching bags for Ranma. That was pretty disrespectful!

I thought the depiction of the senshi in the fic was entirely reasonable when applying real-world ideas. They're children, and they act like such.
