Sailor Moon girls grow up in the Harry Potter world and go to Hogwarts. It's decent enough. A little hit and miss but it's had more hits than misses for me. The idea of Usagi being born a Malfoy amuses me to no end and it's definitely been a thing.

Climbing to the Top

Came across this today, it's a really good Overlord SI focusing on new world characters. SI is Climb who teams up with Renner, and it has some good stuff with his layman's 21st century scientific knowledge being extrapolated on by her RPG bullshit 'golden mind'. Hasn't quite gotten to Nazarick's arrival but it looks like that'll happen next chapter.

Yeah yeah, I know, SI. The premise is decent enough that it's worth a read. It's a Batman crossover. Thing is, the SI wakes up with the powers of a mage and a name: Randall Flagg. He's not the only thing that's crossed over from Steven King's works, either.

Happens early in Batman's career before most of his villains are established, so lots of chances for continuities to change.

This leans surprisingly into instant death's style and it really worked for me.  Told primarily through tattletale's perspective whose ability very much doesn't want to be anywhere near these dimensional travelers and yet Tattletale doesn't want half the city to end up dead by the end of next week either.  It doesn't lean into good guy tattletale really either, but more one seeing the train wreck and unable to look away.

After a spate of translated "evil" webnovels which were either edgelord or where all "good" side are jerks and the "evil" are decent folk, I wasn't expecting much out of this, but decided to give it a try anyway.  I'm glad I did.  It's pretty enjoyable.

If I had to pick a criticism, it's that the overarching mechanic of the world is following and exploiting story archetypes, but the story only uses three of them.  But that's a pretty minor blemish.
