Carthrat

Since I suspect we'll end up with too many of these to stick on my character sheet alone, here they go.

Searing Ashes of the Cremated
(Evocation/Invocation)
Range: 20 yards+5 yards/level.
Duration: Instant
Area of effect: One target
Components: V,s,M(Special)
Casting Time: 3
Saving Throw: Half Damage
When Searing Ashes are invoked, a great flaming hot sphere appears in front of the spellcaster instantly! As the dread magics are woven, this sphere grows from tiny to large. Once finished, it flies unerringly at one target and covers them in simmering hot ash. This deals a base of 1d8 damage, with the following modifiers applying:
Caster is undead: +2d8
Caster is a necromancer: +1d8
Caster is ninth level or higher: +1d8
Caster is wearing a circlet of Undead Control: +1d8
Caster uses a pinch of normal cremated ashes as a material component: +1d8
Caster uses a pinch of ashes of an evil priest or necromancer as a material component: +1d8 per two levels of the material component's former form.
Caster sacrifices a magical item related to the undead during the casting time: +4 casting time, +3d8 damage.
Caster melts a circlet of Undead Control during casting: +8 casting time, +10d8 damage.

Identify
(Divination)

Range: 0                                   Components: V, S, M
Duration: 1 rd./level                   Casting Time: 1 turn
Area of Effect: 1 item/level   Saving Throw: None

The identify spell is capable of determining the purpose and structure of certain lower-level magical items, allowing the caster to know their name and function. The spell requires an open, untarnished space, free of any magic aside from the items to be identified. An hour of time is needed to prepare the items and area for casting- if interrupted, the caster must begin again.

When the area is clean and the spell is cast, the caster may attempt to identify items. He can identify one item per wizard level, and has a chance equal to (level)*10% to identify an item, up to a 95% chance.

A 100gp pearl is required as a material component to the spell, and it is consumed in the casting.

Spectacular Thermal Explosion (Evocation)

As Fireball, but deals 1d6 extra damage. The spell is significantly more grandiose than the regular version, however, generally accompanied by loud roars and a slow heating of the area before the attack hits- which, while impressive, regrettable gives people saving a +3 to their rolls.
