Starting today, a new feature has been added to Postbot, our resident IRC bot used to monitor board activity.

If you check your profile control panel, under the 'Contact' section you'll see a new area to enter an IRC hostmask. You can locate your hostmask by typing '/whois <my current nick>' in IRC and checking your status window, where you should get something like this:

Halbarad is connecting from *@cpe-<IPwithheld>.austin.res.rr.com <IPwithheld>

The section in red above is the hostmask. Just copy and paste this into the Hostmask section on the control panel, and Postbot will send you a PM on IRC whenever you receive a new PM on the board.

It's purely optional, but if you want to keep tabs on your PM box on Soulriders a bit easier, you may want to look into adding this. All hostmask information will be kept private on the board's end, and the board should automatically adjust for dynamic IP addresses (such as for those poor souls on dialup).
