This map will be updated as new towns/areas are discovered. Posts below will have details on said towns. Said new towns are easy to spot on the map thanks to the poorly matching font.

The town of Moonhaven is a a good sized settlement of 3000 souls a week's journey North of Silverymoon, caught between the foothills of the Nether Mountains and the edge of the Moonwood. The town is surrounded by several miles of good farmland, with trade of foodstuffs being an important part of its livelihood - mainly with Silverymoon itself. While the farmland is spread over a good sized area, comprising several dozen homesteads, the town itself is a more cramped collection of buildings crammed within sturdy stone walls for protection against the occasional horde of marauding orcs.

Seen as a gateway to the Moonwood, the town itself has little of interest to adventurers beyond the opportunity to stock up and recuperate between excursions. Notable buildings within the town are:

Temple of Selune: Run by a level 7 cleric, this can provide all divine potions listed in the DM guide, and the head cleric can provide healing spells of up to 4th level at standard prices. Divine Scrolls of up to 2nd level are freely available, except spells with the evil descriptor (no, they will not sell you a scroll of Desecrate, no matter how nicely you ask)

Blacksmith: Typically used to providing farming implements and the like, the blacksmith nonetheless keeps a ready stock of all simple and martial weapons for the garrison. Masterwork and Exotic weapons must be commissioned specially. Will purchase any exotic weapons at full price.

Wizard's Tower: Owned by an elderly and puissant Wizard who devotes most of his time to private studies of the arcane. If he didn't invite you, you'd best steer clear. His apprentice provides a far more personable front to gain access to the Wizard, and is often seen out and about the town, running errands for his master.

Ali Abazan's Trading Coster: This Calishite merchant is always in the market for strange and unusual goods, and while the bulk of his business with the town is typical trade goods, he occassionally stocks the odd magical trinket recovered by adventurer's passing through town.

The Drunken Dragon: The town's biggest inn does a good trade in putting up travellers that pass through, but serves mostly as the social hub of Moonhaven, it's large tavern typically filled to capacity every night with the town's inhabitants looking to relax after a hard day's work. Offers good quality lodging and excellent meals for 2gp a night per person. Stabling is included.

Militia Garrison: The garrison is poorly run, with only three dozen militiamen to police the town - in the event of serious trouble, Moonhaven is almost entirely reliant on reinforcements from Silverymoon. As it is, the town militia is devoted solely to keeping peace within the city walls, rarely venturing farther. Occasional bounties are posted for notable criminals known to be near the town, allowing adventurers and bounty hunters to take some of the weight off the overstretched militia.

Known as the Gem of the North, Silverymoon is a large metropolis of nearly 50,000 inhabitants built around either side of the Rauvin river - the North of Old Silverymoon and the new streets of South Silverymoon connected by the Moonbridge over the river - a magical construct of pure force that can be raised or lowered at the command of the city's rulers.

Filled with ample green spaces and parks, and built around ancient oaks and other trees rather than by clearing space, Silverymoon sometimes seems more like a series of gardens and forest glades than an actual city, and the buildings are constructed of elegant sweeping curves and tall spires, giving the city an immensely peaceful and classical atmosphere.

Thanks to the city's Mythal, it is also one of the safest cities on Faerun, meaning that the citizens have no qualms about welcoming visitors without reservation - that said, the Spellguard and Knights in Silver are a strong presence against any who would seek to cause trouble in this fair city.

As a large city, Silverymoon has points of interest too numerable to list, however, a few are listed here to give an idea of what's readily available.

The High Palace: Seat of power for the rulers of Silverymoon, and the home of Alustriel, the Lady of the North, this is not a place that visitors can simply drop by on a whim - protected by a secondary Mythal and the elite High Guard, this soaring castle of thick stone clad in white marble lies at the heart of Old Silverymoon.

The Star Court: Located near to the High Palace and protected by the same secondary Mythal, this is where the citizens of Silverymoon come to debate civic matters and petition officials, and also holds the criminal courts of Silverymoon and the Rolls, which holds floor and sewer plans for every building in the city, as well as records on taxation, land deeds, and almost everything else that needs to be recorded in a civilised society.

The Temple of Silver Stars: This temple of Selune sells all divine potions, and the clerics can cast spells of up to 7th level at standard prices. The clerics here are actively engaged in mapping the Silver Marches along with the Harpers and Priests of Deneir, and frequently hire adventurers as escorts - for those in dire need, this also represents a way to pay for more expensive spells the clergy could bestow.

The Halls of Inspiration: A joint temple devoted to both Oghma and Milil, this temple offers similar services to the Temple of Silver Stars, as well as providing Divine scrolls of up to 5th level for sale.

The Lady's College: At the heart of the Conclave of Silverymoon lies this college of the arcane. While membership offers a host of benefits, it also charges a steep fee and significant devotion of time. However, visiting mages can make use of the facilities for individual fees - which can be further defrayed by the College's constant lookout for learned guest lecturers. Scrolls are not sold, but spells may be copied from the College's library. Prices are as follows: 10gp for a cantrip, 20gp for a 1st level spell, 100gp for 2nd level, 350gp for 3rd level, and 600gp for 4th level. Higher level spells are not sold freely, but may be obtained by a person in good standing with the College by negotiation.

The Vault of the Sages: This large horseshoe-shaped structure has five levels both above and below the surface, and rivals Candlekeep in its vast stores of knowledge, both written and living in the form of numerous learned sages. Strict Mythal conditions prevent admittance beyond the forehall for most visitors. Spellbooks are not available for viewing at all, but most other tomes can be viewed or copied for a fee. Valuable manuscripts or tomes are eagerly purchased by the keepers of the vault. The sages can also be seen via appointment to give learned guidance on many matters, as well as provide divination spells.

Optym's Blade: Silverymoon does not have a strong tradition of martial craft, and so its foremost blacksmith can only craft weapons and armour of a +2 enchantment or lower. However, he does recieve shipments of more potent items from Sundabar, and so higher valued weapons and armour may be in stock from time to time.

The Shining Scroll: While a small shop, this one is still quite well known in Silverymoon for the odd variety of items on sale. Scrolls are but a small part of what's on offer, and the friendly proprietress offers a diverse selection of wondrous items, potions, and spellcasting services. She is also quite eager to hire adventurers to investigate various tombs and ruins of the North that she has heard of, in hopes of recovering interesting artifacts.

Elan's Accessories: This elegant building on the shores of New Silverymoon not only functions as a salon and boutique for the rich and flashy citizens of Silverymoon, it also offers a whole host of magical items. Rings and Wondrous items of up to 8,000gp value may be ordered here, the eponymous Elan being only too happy to create exquisitely crafted magical accroutements for his wealthy customers.

Asking around, Amonet hears whispered tales of a woman named Vrischika who dwells in a hidden place of Silverymoon and is rumoured to be able to procure almost anything... for a price. The rumours also say that she's alternately a drow, a demon, a lich, a vampire, and a polymorphed squirrel. No one is quite able to specify exactly where she resides, but most who do know of her existence think its somewhere in the sewers on the edges of town, outside the protective area of Silverymoon's Mythal.

A Wizard named Cassandra Ward is said to provide incredibly powerful staves and rods, but is supposedly working on a commission at the moment and not accepting any orders.

The House Invincible has some clerics who are skilled in the making of magic weapons, but will not arm those they deem insufficiently just and active in the fight against evil and chaos.

Xara Tantlor, proprietress of the Shining Scroll is rumoured to sometimes deal in the sale of proscribed magic (typically scrolls for high level and nasty spells that the Ladies College does not usually deal in). However, she's very choosy in who she sells to, and often asks for more than just gold in payment.
