Well, Goodbye.

Midnight Sun

I was originally turned off by this series due to the low budget hand drawn animation and the equally uninspiring CG of the mecha. But I recently decided to hunker down and watch through all the eps released thus far.

Frankly, which I still find the animation to be on the low end, but its watchable, especially a few eps in when it raises to a slightly more acceptable level. Not much has actually happened, but from what I know through copious research of the games over the years, I know the plot will get very interesting very fast.

Divine Wars is a great series to watch for people who have an interest in the SRW universe, but don't have the convenience of knowing the Japanese language.

Episode 6 teaches us there are only two classifications when it comes to the Granzon's opponents:

Those who have been OWNED and those who will eventually be OWNED.

Cheers for Shuu Shirakawa! ^^

On a more serious note I must admit that I honestly am not looking forward to more episodes of this series as much as I used to. Especially after having played Original Generation 2. My favorite character, Latooni, will more than likely get shafted storywise especially since a lot of her later development doesn't occur until the aforementioned game. Unfortunately it's doubtful the series will reach that far. At least not for a very long time anyway.

Ultimately what the series needs is to pick up the damned pace.... honestly it's become incredibly boring of late. Following the SRX team may make sense from a story perspective since a lot of the development of the story happens more on their side than on the ATX side early on but damn it watching the SRX team currently is less exciting than watching paint dry. -_-;

Sincerely,
Shuten
