I've watched the first two episodes of this series and part of the third. The plot is somewhat enjoyable so far I will grant but the animation quality as well as the art is downright atrocious. TMS Entertainment, the company responsible for producing this series, clearly does not care about the quality of their work whatsoever. Honestly they should hang their heads in shame for the downright degrading work they've wrought.

If I'm going to essentially be reading a bunch of still images I may as well grab it in a form, the manga that is, that won't be wasting as much space as these bloated still image vide... *ahem!* I mean episodes are taking up.

Edit: After checking out some of the manga I've decided to just give up on this series. I have no doubt I've been spoiled but I just can't stomach this level of low quality art. For those who are able to enjoy this series I envy you since I really wanted to like this series myself. I just can't get past my own personal issues to make the final leap if you know what I mean.

Shuten's pretty much entirely on the mark.  Art, Dialogue, Story progression, conflict, character...  this series is pretty mediocre right down the whole set and someone thinks  constantly glowing and or shadowed eyes are cool because someone has them almost every scene.  Truly, pretty piss poor shonen.
