Theta Team CO: Mission Report

SUBJECT: Mission Report: Infiltration of Station 622-C

Upon arrival at Station 622-C, attempts were made to establish communication with base personnel to request permission to dock.  Failing to elicit any response, entry into the station was forced.

Station 622-C had been overrun by the Zerg, most likely at least one week before Theta Team contact.  Base personnel had been almost entirely eliminated, and the Zerg apparently had begun to turn upon themselves seeking food supplies.  The few Zerg we stumbled across outside the Queen's nest proper were malnourished.  Four members of station personnel were encountered.  They had apparently barricaded themselves in a secure location.  All four returned with Theta Team, as per orders.  It is my recommendation that they be isolated and quarantined for possible Zerg infestation.  One in  particular was apparently undergoing some process of infestation when discovered.  Medic First Lt. Candice O'Malley removed the obvious cause, but extreme caution is warranted.

The main Zerg nest had been established in the reactor room proper.  Explosives were set and successfully both eliminated the nest and disabled Station 622-C.

Some materiel (two rifles, one pistol, and two suits of power armour) were salvaged from the Station.  As per protocol, these have been signed over to the Quartermaster.
