"Why don't you explain your side of the story?" Miaka offered, finally deciding to drop the suspicions Lafiel's methods and deceptions had caused and giving Zaphiel a chance for the time being. "The whole deal with the Ancients, and how it started?"


"That seems a fair request, though the story is a bit involved, are you sure you want to hear it?" Zaphiel replied.

Miaka shrugged, managing a small smile. "I did say I came here to talk...."

"Syfier hides you until you wish to be unhidden or take part in the rage of battle."

Slipping the ring into a pocket, Devon nodded to O'karn, "When the moon is high then."

Without another word, he pulled up the hood on his cloak and disappeared silently into the forest.

Moving swiftly but stealthily, Devon made his way towards the large clearing before the wall, planning on scanning the battlements from the shadowed wood.

Moving easily, Devon reached the clearing's edge.  The sight that greeted him was the same as the night before.

O'karn turned to the rest of his mottled assorted comrades and sniffed.  "We make for the mountains.  Move out."

Turning, he didn't care to see if they listened to him as he stalked forward towards the northern mountain he'd indicated earlier.

Moving at a sedate pace, sedate for an Ogre, O'karn made his way northward.  After a while, he found himself in the clearing, where the trees ended and the mountain came down.  Peering up, he noticed the precipitus angle the rocks made with the ground.

Pulling out his binoculars, Devon took a closer look at the sentries, noting posture, cleanliness, alertness, all the telltales to try and determine their level of training.

Devon noted that speaking, yawning, and using the wall as a back rest were the predominate actions of those keeping watch.

The sentries posted closest to the gate, while not examples of the best of the best, did at least seem to be making a concerted effort to watch the road, if not much else.

Followed by the puny humans, O'karn looked seriously over the mountainside before pulling out his climbing equipment.  Spiking in, he began the climb up the mountain, skillfully traveling up the stonewall.

O'karm made good headway up the mountain.  Seeing the lack of ease at which the human's followed, he disdainfully lowered rope and tied it off when he found suitable holds.

The trip up was time consuming, and tiring.  It was early evening when they made the plateu.
Looking down, they humans felt impressed at their cliimb, while O'karn was impressed that he hadn't let any fall.

Stowing the binoculars, Devon made his way to the grate leading into the drain pipe, dropping his transformation along the way.

Devon easily made it to the sewage grate.  He found it as he had left it last night.

Looking over the plateau with a trained eye, O'karn assessed how visible it would be from the castle.

Opening the grate, Devon dropped down into the pipe and headed west.

O'karn could make out the castle in the distance.  A large courtyard separated the wall he had seen and an inner wall to the keep.

Their were two main main buildings in the courtyard, and training areas.  Where O'karn could make out the puny humans practicing for battle.  

Behind the second wall, he could see the keep, far enough away that he doubted anyone would spot them unaided.

ooc: not exactly sure what you're asking.  Short of a large fire your not visible from the ground and definitely not from the walls or keep at this distance.
