Carthrat

With a huge mental effort, Salvius calms himself down, and returns to the temple, intent on searching the bodies of the fallen thieves for: A) More Loot, B) Identifying marks.

Cedric retrieves his knives, trying to stay clear of the not-quite-frothing Luciano.

GAME BEGINS AGAIN

Searching the body, Salvius found spider tattoos on the back side of the thieves wrists.  There was also a small vial strapped to the forearm of each thief.  They each had knives on them.  Luckily, he seemed to have killed the one with the bag of gold, but the others were not carrying any money on them.

Dracos
Well, Goodbye.

Carthrat

"Spider tattoos," says Salvius to the Head Priest. "Any idea where they might have come from? Sounds very much like a thieves guild."

"Nay, I do not recognize such things," The high priest frowned thoughtfully, "Though it is an insult that they even entered this sacred temple in disguise and stealth."

Dracos
Well, Goodbye.

Carthrat

"Perhaps a grudge?" replies Salvius. "They did not seem in full control of their faculties."

"Maybe, this will be looked into."  The high priest nodded, going to look after the downed acolytes.

Well, Goodbye.

As Luciano was trying to stop himself from taking souvenirs from the thieves, Cedric approached Salvius, his knives with him once more.

"Have you made any enemies?" Cedric asked. "Though it would seem foolish of them to attack you while you're surrounded by both fighters and other priests of Mars."
<Steph> I might have made a terrible mistake

Carthrat

"They weren't attacking me at all," notes Salvius. "They took the gold and attacked everyone but me, in fact."

Corwin

"They did attack your room," Cedric points out, before shrugging. "I, for one, haven't seen them before in my life. In any case, can you give me my share of two-hundred gold?"
<Steph> I might have made a terrible mistake

Carthrat

"Oh, sure," replies Salvius, reaching into the bag and miraculously pulling out exactly two hundred pieces. "If they have a grudge against anyone, it would be the temple as a whole.

Get yourself some healing," he finishes.

Cedric nods, pocketing the gold. "Like you've said earlier, it's just a scratch."
<Steph> I might have made a terrible mistake

Carthrat

Salvius shrugs, then walks off, in search of an acolyte for his own healing..

Cedric heads for the inn he's staying at, where he hopes to address his wounds and rest for a bit.

Cedric: You find the inn without too much trouble.  It's largely as you recall, though it seems to be lunchtime.

Salvius:  You find an acolyte soon enough.  How do you address him?

Dracos
Well, Goodbye.
