Zelgadis twiches violently and pulls out a mirror...

If one were to listen closely they would hear, "Why me..."

Fortunately, the last several years have been spent trying to solve a certain 'skin condition'. Problems like acne, hives, rashes, warts, eczema, and even leprosy would never bother Zelgadis. Something like a simple magic marker would be child's play to remove. Nevertheless...

"Gourry, could I see that magic marker?"

[Ebiris]

"Uh... okay," Gourry naively hands the pen over. "Is it yours? I don't really know where it came from... when did you draw those rabbots anyway? I didn't notice them when we were eating..." he trails off before perking up, "The look suits you, though! Makes you seem much more approachable!" he says cheerfully.

[Corwin]

"Yeah, Zel-chan," Lina adds, poking the chimera in the ribs with an elbow. "You're much more... what Gourry said, now."

[Carthrat]

"If by 'approachable' you mean 'downright rediculous," mumbles Kylen to Lina, walking next to her.

[Corwin]

Lina can't hold it back anymore, and laughs heartily, slapping Zelgadis on his back.

[Carthrat]

Kylen gives an amused chuckle.

Well, she *seems* like a well-adjusted young girl.. apart from all this wreckage. I suppose the stories would be half-true..

"Well, Miss Inverse- you *are* Lina Inverse?" Kylen asks, curious-like.

[Corwin]

"Of course!" she says proudly, puffing out her chest. "You obviously recognized me from my unparalleled beauty and feminine appeal!"

[Carthrat]

"Er, well, actually, your name was thrown around a fair bit in the tavern," replies Kylen, wisely avoiding the 'flat-chested redhead' thing that he picked her out on straightaway.

[Corwin]

Lina sags slightly. "Ah, is that so?"

[Carthrat]

"Well, it's not like you're unattractive or anything," continues Kylen, brightly. "But that aside for a moment..

Can you tell me how you met the Princess?" he asks, a little uncertainty creeping into his voice.

[Corwin]

"Which one?" she asks, scratching the back of her head. "What's her name, with the Dark Lord Zoamelgustar?" Lina snickers.

[Carthrat]

"..the what? No, I mean the Princess Amelia," replies Kylen, shrugging. "How many do you meet, anyway? It's not like they're an everday occurence."

[Corwin]

"Hmm, now that I think about it, there are fewer and fewer kingdoms these days," Lina says, looking thoughtful. "How mysterious."

Shaking her head, she focuses on his question. "Amelia and I go way back, actually, Mr...?"

[Carthrat]

"Call me Seyra," replies Kylen. "I'm still surprised that the Princess would stick around somebody like you.. with all the trouble you, er, run into, I'm surprised Prince Phil would even let her."

[Corwin]

"Somebody," Lina asks, her left eyebrow twitching, "like me?"
