Races

1) Rigalians

Rigalians are one of the oldest races of the known galaxies. They appear much like humans, but they're typically of a uniform height (about 6'3), have long black hair, and an incredibly shrewed manner in all business they conduct.

They are *exceptionally* good at being where they really shouldn't, and make excellent informants, smugglers, traders and spies. They're also quite cunning in combat, favouring elaborate plots over brute force. However, they are typically highly arrogant, beliving themselves to be one of the 'Master Races' of the galaxy. A clever fighter can use this against them.

Their main failing is that their plots are *too* elaborate. Quick, decisive action can be taken and generally works wonders. However, the problem with that is that a victim often does not know of the plot until it is sprung.


2) Shirans

Shirans are a race of feline and canine humanoids. The males are always canine, the females are always feline. They are often mistaken for different species.

They run a pack society; a single, alpha male with an entourage of females. This has benefitted their civilsation rather well; often, males are born with good qualities of organisation and leadership, and females are born with more plainly intellectual qualities.

They have exceptionally good hearing; they can even use it as a substitute for sight, in a pinch. It is extremely risky to harm a Shiran; their entire government is based off a pack, and to harm one is to harm the entire pack. However, if a Shiran begins a fight, it is far more likely that you will not be implicated for ending it.

They are noted for an extremely low tolerance to alcohol or drugs of any kind.

3) Cherions

Cherions are a race of psychics. However, their natural psychic talent is used only for one thing; to appear as the most sexually powerful being the viewer has ever seen. After a few seconds of scanning the minds of those around them, each person will see them as a very attractive member of their preferred sex.

Because of this, they make very good spies and diplomats. However, they are not sturdy folk, and avoid fighting like the plauge. They are capable of breeding with any other race.

Some people have developed a state of mind which ignores the psychic reaction Cherions create. They see them only has an indistinct member of their own species.


4) Pharions

Pharions are nothing short of elves with wings. They are easily the most prolific race next to humans. Apart from their ability to fly, they are also possessed of an unearthly grace, and the same drive and focus to *advance* that many ambitious humans possess. Like humans, they are skilled in everything; like humans, they are always trying new things.

The main difference between them is that Humans, having to develop aircraft and thus, spaceflight faster than Pharions, are *invariably* better pilots than them. In todays modern space era, this counts for alot, and thus humans are a more expansive race than Pharions.

Human/Pharion relationships are common, though there are no such things has half-pharions or half-humans. The mothers side is always carried through (much to the consternation of certain old-fashioned males).
