Anyhow, I said I'd run a short recruiter type game during the break so here it is.

Welcome to The City.  No, not that City.  The City of the RISING SUN.  Over there, in the west.  Or the east, depending on which you turn to first.  The City is a land of cheery people.  And assholes.  And that guy jay-walking cross the street.  And when you get down to it there is a lot of evil going around The City.  So Mayor D gave you a call.  The Call.  The Last Call You'll Ever Need To Hear Because God Damn It Was Just That Long A Call.  And you, for better or worse, answered it.

So here you are, a recent recruit in Team City, the first, second, and second to last called line of defense against the ever encroaching forces of darkness.  One of oh, five of ya.

This game is meant to be basic and newbie friendly.  It'll be short, 1 arc.  I might run another later.  There is obviously five slots open, and you better have a sense of humor if you are joining.  Obvious rips from Excel Saga and The Tick should be noted.  Anyone who asks to play The Tick will immediately be gonged.

I will likey be running this over IRC, but that'll depend largely on the time block of people who are interested.

Okay, guys, I'm willing to run this.  I really am...  But to do so I need character sheets and time slots.

I cannot just 'start' this without them.  It doesn't take a lot to create a short term comedic superhero.

I claim this thread in the name of Neko...Cyber Neko. Brain and soul of a hacker housed within a horrible mish mash of technological and organic components.

Neko, since he was purchased by Governor D due to his overwhelmingly spiffy nature, does not have a necessarily 'cool' name. (Because..c'mon people, the guy calls himself Governor D, I doubt originality in his pet's name is going to be high priority here).

His powers include a lovely little end all and be all hacker tool...his own tail.  He just sticks it into a machine of any kind and it's game over man! He owns that biznitch like nothing else.

Turn ons include: Cute girls in skimpy clothing and/or short skirts. (The better to see what's hidden under there, my dear). Neko also enjoys long walks on the beach.

He also loves yoddling, which may or not be his Achille's Heel as he also loves to try his own renditions of them with zany and unpredictable results for anyone who's listening in!

Turn offs include: Fat, smelly old guys and ugly chicks. Oh, and hippies. Can't stand those hippies.

I want to be a total stereotype of a quite young man with a secret past and a fish fetish (they're so cute!) and a kickass sword.

And purple tinted glasses.

And if being a young man here while being a girl in real life is weird, well, there way more weird stuff out there. Like platypuses. And Canadians.

Nevermind. My weapon shall be an electrical cord from a lamp. And it shall have a name. Phil. Phil the Electric Cord of DOOM.

His name is Keenan. He has long dark red hair, average height, lean. And while he is quite proficient with Phil, he can also look into other people's minds by getting high on White-Out fumes. He always carries a bottle with him.

He likes Oreos and would step over his own mother to get some.

His secret ambition is to own an aquarium, or be one of the fish-people.

Has a deep fear of dogs, though he doesn't know why.
