Leave of absence`

Not a full leave of absence, but: my home computer will not start.  I suspect it is either that the power switch itself has gotten gummed, or that the power supply has failed.  In the worst case scenario, of course, it is the motherboard.  What this means is that I can't post from home for the time being.  I don't think I'll be able to fix this before Saturday at the earliest.

I know I just established a very strict guideline for the schedule of the sieges, but as it is, it looks like me and Rez are going to be the only people here for them, I may have to delay and say the strict enforcement starts next week.

No sense having a session with so many of the players missing....

Little to really say - but as a note, if the sieges don't happen on a Friday or Saturday your time my thereness will be suspect. I can be around enough to post while I'm at work, but not always enough for an IRC session - for obvious reasons. >.>

Quick update:

Tales of Symphonia is being released on the 13th of this month.

In unrelated events, some aspects of the game are stressing me out -- mostly me trying to keep up with you guys, people who told me the game sucked whining to get back in after telling me they weren't interested in my story, and a few other minor things.  You may have noticed I have been VERY LAZY about posting lately.

I am still having fun.

But I'm shutting the game down for a week -- possibly two -- on the fifteenth of this month, because I need a bit of time to recharge.

Note that my vacation is starting on the fifteenth, a whole two days after Tales of Symphonia is being released.  So really, it's not about ToS.

I will be gone from about July 23rd to Aug 4th or so.  Too lazy to look up exact travel dates.

I may be able to post occasionally in that time frame, but dinnae be holding your breath.

In the interests of continuing this chain, I'm being shipped off to play tech support for our goons at a trade show from August 5th to August 10th - roughly.  The net effect of this is I go, I plug in five laptops (that I've already pre-set-up), and sit on my ass for four days.  Four days of paid vacation - fun fun.

I may or may not be around much that weekend.  Don't bet on it.  I don't really intend to hang around the trade show unless I -really- can't find anything else to do, because if I stay there these people will talk to me and bug me and I'll go insane. :)

Because Rez has established that this chain must be continued, I will be leaving tomorrow (Aug 18th) for a week.  I won't have Internet at all while I'm gone.

But when I'm back, I'll be back for good.  Honest.

You know what?  That's fine.  Bjorn mentioned this some time ago.

We're putting team one on hold, then.  Until Bjorn returns, no one from team one has to post.

Team two is going to get some time on the boards.  I seriously doubt I can assemble all of the team two players into a single session for IRC, so probably I'm going to TRY to push equal amounts of plot and filler at you until Friday, at which point I'm going to split team two into sub-groups ... and start a Team Two e-mail thread. :D  Maybe.  ;_;

So.  Just as a quick aside....

...the game may be on hold, but Ginrai is allowed to post to it.  :D

If he doesn't post at least once by the time Bjorn comes back, then I raise a Plot Elemental and cast it into Ginraiform.  Yeeeees....

Rez has been offered the chance for a free, all expenses paid ski trip between September 4th and September 11th, as a 21st birthday present.

He might maybe have some internet access while there.  He will at the least be taking his laptop, but if he has net access he won't be online often or consistently.  So . . . eheh.  More leave of absenceness.

Anyway, this coming Thursday I'm going to Hong Kong for work.  I will be there for eleven days.

That said, I am the sysadmin, and I'm going there to fix servrers; I will have net access and be available.  How busy I am going to be I honestly cannot predict.  It should NOT be as bad as this last few days have been.
