On leaving the Witches office so quickly, Azurite heads down the dark halls. Perhaps a bit quicker than he wanted to, as if there is one thing to be said about underground Mugen, it's this: Whomever created the floor plan was stark raving mad. Hallways that twist and turn, illogical dead ends, splitting paths. It reminds you of a trek through the mind of a schizophrenic, all outside logic and reason subsumed to one overinsanity.

Pipes and tubes poke liberally through the walls at most points, carrying God only knows what payloads - heat, water, chemicals, magical ether made liqiud, or a thousand other myriad possibilities. It adds a crazy crampiness to the entire affair, causing you to even need to duck once or twice to proceed.

Not only that, it looks to be in bloody powersaver mode. Besides a few patchy, weak overhead lights, it's dim and dark down here. It's not helping matters at all.

And of course, with that, comes a realization. Where the hell are you down here, anyway?[/img]

“Where the hell am I down here, anyway?

Finding the shadowy darkness just a tad too depressing at the moment, Azurite summons a balll of light to illumine his way. Pushing the shadows back he continues onward a bit before deciding that he was, indeed, good and truly lost. Just one more point to add to this day’s score it would seem.

Great, just fan-freakin-tastic! I’m almost tempted to ask how this day could get any worse, but one of these pipes might burst and stick me with some weird gender-bending curse.

Of course, he was Azurite. He was, almost by definition, a mage. There were ways to find the exit. Oh yes, arcane and mysterious ways that could bend and break the minds of mortal men. Sadly, he lacked the sacrifice necessary to invoke most of those so settled for a quick backtracking spell instead.

Casting the basic magic, it swirls and loops around. Power spreading for your body to your mind and eyes, the backtracking spell takes effect cleanly enough. Beginning to follow it, you come to an intersection, threeways. From the path the spell is dragging you in, you can hear footsteps coming that way. It sounds like high heels on the cold floors. Someone is coming.

Azurite increases the lighting, proceeding down the path at a more sedate pace.

“Hello?”

Anastasia

Soon coming into your sphere of light is a red haired woman, with her long haired tied back behind light glasses and a white lab coat. Quite a familiar face indeed.

Eudial pauses as she appraoches, surprised to find anyone here. "Hey, who's down he...Azurite?" she blinks as she gets closer, her glasses sliding down her face a touch. "Hey, what the hell are you doing back, and down here of all places?!" The question comes in a semi shocked tone, as she copes with meeting someone she really didn't count on meeting today.

Azurite tries to smile it off. He tries hard, but the strain is becoming apparent.

“And good afternoon to you as well. Me? Oh no, I’m just peachy, thanks for asking. Took care of that whole ‘family’ thing. Why down here? It seemed like such a jovial place to get lost in, I just couldn’t resist. And yourself? How have you been.”

Anastasia

"Oh."

Containing her still dazed reply in one word, she manages a nod. "Well...I'm good, yeah...wait." Shaking that entire stunning off, "You're back?" he asks. "How did that thing with your family go?"

“About as well as could be hoped, I guess.” Azurite breaths out, embarrassment settling in. “Sorry, today just has not been my day. And yeah, I’m back. Just got in the other day, in fact.”

Anastasia

"Really," she peers at you.  "And for your return, you got lost down here," Eudial smiles a bit at that. "Who left you down here, anyway?"

Even more awkward than I imagined...and I don't even have another interest...

“Well, I came down to say hello to Mizuno-san but she and the cat took off pretty quickly. They seemed to be in a hurry to go do something. After that I just sort of…” He shrugs. “And I only just recalled a certain spell to help me find my way.” He grins suddenly.

“And it led me to you. Wonder if that means something?”

Anastasia

Smiling a bit, "Maybe it does," she muses, stepping up to you. "Ami gave you the brush off, eh? If you're free...why don't you come along with me?" Eudial asks, mood brightening by degrees. "I have to go get something I left back here a long time ago."

He's cute...even if it's creepy because he's Kaolinite's brother...but he's cute.

OOC: Sorry, looong day of work. -_-

Nodding his assent, he begins following the red-haired technomage.

“So what have you been up to lately? The place seems to hsve changed quite a bit since the last time I was here.”

Anastasia

OOC: No problem. Trust me, I had the same thing yesterday.

As you continue down the seemingly illogical and twisting halls, "Nothing huge," Eudial replies. "How is it different, anyway? Did someone put a new coat of paint outside?" Peering at you from the corner of her eye, as she pays more attention to not getting lost, her red eyes nevertheless keep note of you.

Passing through an old double door, you head even deeper in. It's dustier here, and dimmer. Only a few lights provide any break in the routine.

“The magic in this place, it used to be pretty much relegated to the witches when I was last here. Now every time I open my sense to this place its lit up like a bonfire! I’ve never seen anything like it, personally.” Azurite seems rather exited about the change.

Anastasia

Slowing slightly as you head along a relatively straight, long corridor, Eudial turns to you. "Well...things have gotten crazy around here for awhile," she shrugs. "And there was a bit of an incident." Stopping as you come to a dark, metallic door, just now starting to rust, Eudial pauses.

"Some loon came raising trouble, basically. Had a lot of energy, and it burst all over the place when we finished with him."
