A journey to the Temple of Fiends

[Dracos]

Helena, for once, seemed somewhat self absorbed as the walk got started.

Heading north the path was pretty smooth, though he realized they probably could shave some time off their journey by going through the woods directly.

Dracos

[Olvelsper]

"We can shave off two days at this shortcut. It'll be a bit more riskier than going straight down the normal roads, though." Craig announced to his two fellow party members.

"I personally say that it'd be more efficient this way...but that'd be by myself. How about you two? Want to go through this path?"

[Carthrat]

"The forest has imps," comments Helena, shrugging. "I suppose it's worth it, though.

They're only imps, after all. As long as we stay alert, we should be fine."

[Halbarad]

"Imps don't particularly worry me," Patricia shrugged. "If it's that big a shortcut, let's take it."

[Dracos]

Somewhere out there...

Gray imp, the imp of imps, hero of his people...

Chittered.

[Olvelsper]

"Right, then we're off. Just make sure to talk in hushed tones to keep from letting anything bigger and badder hear us." Craig lead them into the forest.

[Halbarad]

"IS there anything bigger and badder around here? I've never seen or heard of anything but imps," Patricia replies.

Although it'd be cool to see something else!

[Carthrat]

"I've never seen anything else, and I come out here all the time," replies Helena, shrugging. "That being said, I havn't gone that far afield."

[Olvelsper]

"Some thief clans like to set up in these kinds of places to be able to attack the main roads and the like. This is along the path to Pravoka too, afterall." Craig easily responded.

[Dracos]

They heard something marching nearby.

Something with big feet.  Crunching the branches.

[Carthrat]

"Uh. I think we should hide," comments Helena, glancing around nervously, and quickly heading towards some convient hidey-bush to do so in.

[Olvelsper]

Craig quietly moved to follow Helena's example as he moved to the same side of the road as her, gesturing for Patricia to follow so they could consolidate their forces.

[Halbarad]

The white mage made no reply, quickly heading towards concealment with the other two.

[Dracos]

They heard a chittering behind them.  Around them.  Maybe tens.  Maybe hundreds.  Hard to tell really.

Coming mainly from where the road would be.

[Carthrat]

Helena's hands start to curl, making vauge arcane symbols in the air. No spell is actuall cast, but she's certainly making sure she can sling one out at short notice.
