He just got a letter or something teleported into his hand and slipped it into his pocket. Dracos clarified.

Well, why don't you ask him?  I agree with Bjorn, this subtlety stuff is overrated.

[Bjorn]

"What have you got in your pocket, Tetsuo?" Bjorn asks, quietly.

[Dracos]

The fact that I'm apparently becoming the subtle one is weird beyond measure, you two. Dracos quipped.

Okay, perhaps 'subtle' wasn't quite the word.  Maybe it was 'oblivious'.

[Dracos]

Yes sir, Captain Obvious!...  We do have mouths don't we? Dracos tapped his cheek.  "There's something lost in the lack of verbal quippage upon the journey taken."

"Whatever it was, I think you lost it anyway."

[Dracos]

"My, how pink of you.  And how silently the hat does ponder as we walk?"  Dracos shifted them into idleseque chatter as they made their way down the streets.

"You know Drac's desperate when he has to change the subject to 'pink'.  It's like Godwin's Law."

Nathan rolls his eyes dramatically.

[Halbarad]

"I could say the same thing about hats," Tim replies, checking to make sure his is secure. "Sorry, just a bit thoughtful at the moment."

[Brian]

Tetsuo gives a sly smile and produces ... a box-cutter.  "My sister sent it to me," he explains.  His smile vanishes.  "I hope we don't need it."

Somewhere someone is making a "The Boxcutter Kid' movie.  I swear it.
