You're going to have roughly 2 weeks or so of downtime. You'll get your monthly payment about at the end of it, so feel free to add that GP to your total.

As for making money on the side, who's interested? I know at least one of you have profession and can use that, and there is also the question of selling spell services. This is entirely reasonable within the world and can make you solid money, but I'm having an internal debate on how. I'm open to suggestions here.

Tell me if there's anything you want to buy or spend gold on, or if there is anything else you wish to do.

<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

To be honest, I don't think getting a bit more cash ever hurts. But it feels a bit lame to just roll profession/craft/whatever. Maybe if you could find an exciting interlude to RP something that has to do with said profession, like 'an hour in the life of...', and then give decent wages?
<Steph> I might have made a terrible mistake

I can't think of a single way to make embroidery interesting to rp...

Nor is Lyselle really curious in going to market, or strapped for cash.

I'll be in my bunk.

That's a thought, especially since the spellcasters need some extra money for basic spell costs. Doubly so since you returned most of his equipment, I generated the adventure under the assumption you'd end up selling it. It was a masterwork and a pierce of good armor, both worth a few hundred GP.

I don't think the RPing is so needed for basic rolling craft, but moreso for the magic since that reeks of hooks and things to do with it. Hm.

An epic quest for yarn, a series of comic misadventures... how can you say no to this?!

Yeah, Embroidery is nice, just not very interesting. Go ahead and roll for it if you want to make the money. <_<

Shamal will use the two weeks to do alchemy. She'll make one flask of alchemist's fire for herself, and anything she creates past that she'll sell at market price (or with a 10% discount if a party member wants to buy anything)

I'll spend most of the downtime doing writing records and crafting maps myself (I am kinda strapped for cash).

* Hatbot --> "Hello-Wriggle rolls 1d20+9 for Craft goldies and gets 21." [1d20=12]
<Hello-Wriggle> roll 1d20+9 for Craft's second week
* Hatbot --> "Hello-Wriggle rolls 1d20+9 for Craft's second week and gets 12." [1d20=3]

Total of 16.5 gold pieces earned.

[20:51] <Shamal> roll 1d20+9 DC 20 alchemist's fire go
[20:51] * Hatbot --> "Shamal rolls 1d20+9 DC 20 alchemist's fire go and gets 11." [1d20=2]
[20:52] <Shamal> Okay. 6.6gp lost.
[20:52] <Shamal> One week down.
[20:52] <Kotono> Ouch.
[20:52] <Shamal> roll 1d20+9 DC 20 alchemist's fire go, week 2 start
[20:52] * Hatbot --> "Shamal rolls 1d20+9 DC 20 alchemist's fire go, week 2 start and gets 18." [1d20=9]
[20:52] <Shamal> No progress, but nothing lost.
[20:53] <Shamal> These two weeks = failure.
[20:53] * Kotono pats.
[20:53] <Shamal> Wait!
[20:53] <Shamal> Familiars have the same skill ranks as their masters.
[20:53] <Shamal> Flopsy will use Aid Another for week 2!
[20:54] <Shamal> roll 1d20+9 flopsy aid another for the +2
[20:54] * Hatbot --> "Shamal rolls 1d20+9 flopsy aid another for the +2 and gets 13." [1d20=4]
[20:54] <Shamal> Okay!
[20:54] <Shamal> I hit 20.
[20:54] <Kotono> Blackjack?
[20:54] <Shamal> So I create alchemist's fire in the first half of week 2.
[20:54] <Shamal> 13.2gp spent.
[20:54] <Shamal> I now try again for the last half of week 2.
[20:55] <Shamal> roll 1d20+9 DC 20 alchemist's fire go week 2.5
[20:55] * Hatbot --> "Shamal rolls 1d20+9 DC 20 alchemist's fire go week 2.5 and gets 24." [1d20=15]
[20:55] <Shamal> Okay, so having spent 19.8gp, I now have 2 flasks of Alchemist's Fire.
[20:55] <Shamal> Since it normally costs 20gp per flask, I win.
[20:55] * Kotono nods.
[20:55] <Kotono> What are you doing with them?
[20:56] <Seira> Set stuff on fire, no doubt
[20:56] <Shamal> I keep one. The other goes for sale, either for 20gp on the open market, or 18gp to a party member.
[20:56] <Kotono> Open market'll buy it without incident.
[20:57] <Shamal> Also, I forgot - the alchemist's lab gives a +2 circumstance bonus to those checks, so Flopsy didn't even need to help.
[20:57] <Kotono> I dunno.
[20:58] <Kotono> I liked the image of ALCHEMY RABBIT.

Result = 2 flasks made, one of which is sold for 20gp. After 19.8gp cost of 3 attempts, Shamal leaves with 1 flask of Alchemist's Fire and 2 silver pieces.
