Wouldn't I actually start to drown with horrible constitution checks after 24 rounds of flailing ignobly? I'll keep on trying to swim, surely I'll roll 12 or above in that time~
<Steph> I might have made a terrible mistake

Flasheart swims down to try and save the unfortunate damsel in distress. He can come back for the dwarf once she's situated above the water, assuming he doesn't right himself in that time.

As Lord Flasheart takes charge of rescuing Euphy, Ranmaru lets him handle that and proceeds to just get him self back above the surface, "Heh...heh...this armor is certainly not the best thing to be wearing in the water. Still, I'm not going to drown so easily."

Leaving the rescuing damsels to the dashing lord. Taking 10 to get myself righted.
All About Monks
<Marisa> They're OP as fuck
<Marisa> They definitely don't blow in 3.5
<Marisa> after a certain level they basically just attack repeatedly until it dies
<Marisa> they're immune to a bunch of high level effects
<Marisa> just by being monks

Sacchin attempts to take stock of the area they're in now that combat is over; the depth of the water and the directions in which she can swim (and what appears to be in them) are of paramount importance!
[19:14] <Annerose> Aww, mouth not outpacing brain after all?

Flasheart is able to help Euphy get above water as Ranmaru rights himself! Meanwhile, Sacchin looks around with her darkvision eyes!  The water goes about sixty feet deep. - it's a grand hall of rusted iron. The bottom of the hall looks normal enough, though you'd need to do some swimming to see more in either direction.

<Afina> Forever.

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Carthrat

Sacchin decides to swim in the opposite direction to the shark, until she either hits a dead end or sees something interesting!

Sacchin swims along! She swims perhaps two hundred feet, quite wet now! Ahead, the water is starting to get a current forward. A faint din can be heard, far away.

Easily figuring out what Sacchin is up to, Ranmaru takes a cue from her and starts dwarffie-paddling in the other direction, using his own Darkvision to take a look around. Two search faster then one, afterall!

Sacchin isn't particulary in the mood to get dragged away right now, and would rather chance the other direction! She ties a rope to her waist and tosses it at one of those fleshbags following her, and then dives underwater to try and force open the door and go through!

Ranmaru and then Sacchin go the other way! After a few minutes of swimming, they come to an end for it. Below the water, Sacchin can see a door leading in, though obviously not being able to breath underwater is going to make taking it dicey!

Well, there aren't other options! Sacchin dives underneath the water and tries to open the door so she can go through it!

You move at half your ground rate while swimming. There's no need to make checks when you're intentionally submerging. You can hold your breath for an amount double of your con score. 26 rounds!

It takes four rounds for Sacchin to swim to the bottom. The rusty steel door below here is quite closed, as a door often is. There's a handle below if one wishes to attempt to open it.

22/26 rounds of air, Sacchin.

Sacchin pulls at the handle, as one does when faced with a door that must be opened.

* Hatbot --> "Koaway rolls 1d20+2 STR and gets 12." [1d20=10]

Putting her back into it, Sacchin is able to force open the rusty old door! It takes some wind and effort from her, double the normal amount of exertion! Ahead she can see a watery hall that goes on for the sixty feet, then a downward slope. All waterlogged, of course.

20/26, a standard or move action burns 2 rounds of air for 1, Sacchin.

Sacchin lets the door go to see if it closes by itself! If it doesn't, she swims to the other side, wanting to check out whether or not it's possible to surface in this room for another breath of air!
