"Is everything alright down there?" Flasheart calls down, his position safe at the rear keeping him mostly ignorant of any traumatic maimings.

It's pretty easy to avoid. Jumping down a few feet up will let one land away from the mauling slot in the floor.

If the Lady manages to clear the mauling floor, Ranmaru will of course follow suit.

"It has been worse before," insists Sacchin, after a few seconds of not moving.

[Corwin]

Euphemia will wait for Sacchin to pass through the spot she intends to jump down to, in case that also holds within a trap. Once it had been vetted, however, she will not waste time in getting down.

Sacchin descends the rest of the way down the ladder. Or rolls out the way, if she's on the floor.

[Anastasia]

Going down is without incident. Ranmaru and Sacchin follow suit safely!

Flasheart follows the rest down the ladder in the same safe manner they use!

Once safely down, Euphemia... takes a look around!

Going down, the party finds that there are many passages, but each is sealed off with as himmering field of energy. However, in the center of all fo that, lies a single hole with a rope leading down into it.

Ranmaru approaches the hole and looks down into it.

[Anastasia]

The hole goes down a good ways. It's dark and Ranmaru can't see the end or the end of the rope.

Ranmaru has a very sudden aversion to dark places and backs away from the hole. "It's...dark. For some reason, I feel likely to be eaten by something..."

"Bah, don't be such a coward!" Flasheart chastises as he manfully steps forward. "Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast!" he calls jauntily before climbing down the rope!

On having to check the mods after all, you have +1 str and no ACP. However, that's still only a 3. For the love of fuck.

Flasheart goes to shimmy down like any good peasant in front of a rope! However, his grip slips as he goes down, his body sliding right off the rope! Uh oh, he's falling and falling fast! Not as planned!

You can make a DC 10 dex check to try and grab the rope back as you tumble. Common sense dictates that you attempt it, correct me if I'm wrong.
