[20:48] <Kotono> ---------------------------------------
[20:49] <Kotono> Once Janson and Aaeru's groups are both gone, Josa turns to Andrea. "Of the two, do the entertainment. You're a trained bard, no? That should be easy for you." Jerking a thumb at Noel, "Take Noel with you for any help or aid you'll need."
[20:51] <Andria> Andrea nods. "Alright. We'll see what we can do," she says cheerfully as she grabs the piece of paper from the board to get more details. "Any special talents to keep in mind, Noel?"
[20:54] <Kotono> "Mr. Farzahd is staying with a friend in Seira's Inn," Josa explains quietly, "He's from the Desert Fiefdoms. The fee's negotiable, so do well on him and earn more than the standard fee."
[20:55] <Kotono> Noel considers a moment and lightlys hrugs, "I ain't never been that good at music. Tried learning the lute once, ended up breaking it over a jerk's head in a barroom brawl. Pretty good at cards and I can throw them. There's a trick to it," Noel flicks his wrist, "Once you get it down it's pretty easy."
[20:58] <Andria> "Hrm...well, we'll see," Andrea says, not sure how they can work that in, but they'll have to see if the client has any preferences for entertainment or what.
[20:58] <Andria> "Well, let's go see this Mr. Farzahd then," she adds after a bit, starting to head outside.
[21:00] <Kotono> As you head outside Noel stretches his arms out and takes a slow pace. "Man, that Olan realy got into Branna's head. Training this, duty that."
[21:06] <Andria> Andrea smiles at Noel. "Have you joined in? I've always found instructor Olan's advice to be helpful...even if it sometimes takes a bit of time to get it through to my head," she replies, with a small laugh.
[21:10] <Kotono> "Well..." Noel grins, "It's not really my thing, I mean...being smart and knowing when to get away means you life longer."
[21:14] <Andria> "Well, I can't say I disagree, even instructor Olan would agree that there are some fights not worth fighting. Still, there are also some fights, even with the risks, that need to be fought," Andrea declares. "If we slunk back simply because we thought it too dangerous, evil would surely triumph time and time again, and what sort of life would we all have then?"
[21:16] <Kotono> "Dunno." Noel says, "Evil and good, eh? What about making a buck and ending up niceoff?"
[21:22] <Andria> Andrea shrugs. "Those matter as well, what good is living if you don't enjoy it? But sooner or later someone could decide they want to make a buck off you, right? Especially if you're seen as the type that always tries to avoid a fight," Andrea says, struggling a bit with how to put it into a good example. "And can you really be happy if you see others around you suffering?"
[21:25] <Kotono> "Find 'em in a dark alley and jump them?" Noel replies, "Hell if I know. There's people like Qusela out there, so gotta be some reason to do it."
[21:29] <Andria> "That's why I think there are some fights worth fighting. People like Qusela shouldn't be allowed to stick around and take advantage of others. Someone has to bring them to justice, right? And hey, we tend to get paid for doing so, so that probably works out for you, right?"
[21:32] <Kotono> "Yeah, guess." Noel says, then rubs his temples. "This sort of talk always gives me a headache. It's hard to think around it."
[21:34] <Andria> Andrea laughs. "Well, you started the topic, you know, so you only have yourself to blame. And at least I don't talk it over sparring like instructor Olan, or you'd have some bruises to accompany that headache."
[21:38] <Kotono> roll 1d100
[21:38] * Hatbot --> "Kotono rolls 1d100 and gets 45." [1d100=45]
[21:41] <Kotono> As you chat you reach a hill in the Old City. As you climb it the sea breeze blows through your hair, chasing away the summery warmth. Past an elegant, beautiful shop lies an inn. An inn seemingly carved like a dragon, it's mouth the entryway within. People come and go from it, Noel jerking a thumb. "That's it. S'posed to have been Seira's before they started worshiping her. Crazy to
[21:41] <Kotono> think about, ain't it?"
[21:43] <Andria> "Not that crazy, if you think about it. She was connected to Waukeen, right? Makes sense it'd get turned into some sort of place of business." Andrea comments as she steps into the inn, and starts looking around.
[21:52] <Kotono> Inside is a warm common room and bar. Here people chat and drink, a few bards singing songs of valor and love. A great fire roars in one corner, keeping everything warm. The walls are decorated with tapestries of dragons and other such legends.  Just by the door inside is a muscular man, black haired and with a friendly smile. He takes one look at  Andrea and Noel before giving them a
[21:52] <Kotono> brief smile and nod of his head.
[21:55] <Andria> "Mr. Farzahd?" Andrea asks as she approaches the man, wanting to confirm his identity.
[21:59] <Kotono> "Huh?" The man blink-blinks, "No, I'm the bouncer. There's a Mr. Farzahd in over there," he points to a dark skinned man near the fire, drinking from a mug.
[22:03] <Andria> "Ah, thanks a lot. I didn't know what he looked like," she says as she bows to the bouncer before heading towards the man pointed out. "Mr. Farzahd? We're from Whimsical Sweets, we heard about a job?"

[20:06] <Kotono> Mr Farzahd looks up from his drink, giving Andrea a casual glance. "Aaah, finally." A pause to drain his mug, "You're the entertainment?"
[20:07] <Andria> "Potentially," Andrea says with a smile. "My name is Andrea Redfall. I have some training as a bard, so our boss felt I might be the most appropriate for the job. This is Noel, one of my companions."
[20:13] <Kotono> "Hey." Noel just nods back. After this Mr. Farzahd kicks back in his chair, "Bard, eh? What makes you stand out from any sing-song in the place, like one of the bards here?"
[20:20] <Andria> "To be honest, song isn't my primary training as a bard, I am more of a storyteller in regards to the gods. But as for song, if you wish such things, my meager talent in music channels my faith to revitalize its listeners," Andrea says as she marks off her fingers trying to say what she can do. "My companion is more trained in martial arts, so between the two of us, we could also put a show of swordsmanship."
[20:22] <Kotono> "You're a storyteller mostly?" A hmph as he rubs his chin, "Tell me a story then. A good one."
[20:27] <Andria> "Any preferences as to the sort of story? A love story, adventure, murder and intrigue, or such?"
[20:30] <Kotono> "ADventure," Mr. Farzahd says, resting his hands on his stomach.
[20:38] <Andria> Andrea rubs her chin, and nods. "Adventure, hmm...well, I guess a nice safe story would be when my friends and I sought to capture a troll. It's interesting mostly because the troll had almost nothing to do with the adventure that followed!" she says as she starts to go into the details of the story, planning to downplay any information about scrolls and surviving information.
[20:42] <Andria> roll d20+11 perform
[20:42] * Hatbot --> "Andria rolls d20+11 perform and gets 17." [d20=6]
[20:47] <Kotono> Mr. Farzahd listens to this patiently, letting the story wind up and then down. At the end he doesn't clap, but he does nod his head in acknowledgement. "Mmmm. Not bad. You're competent, but I'm hoping for something better than that. Something great, something extrodinary!"
[20:52] <Andria> Andrea nods slowly. "Yes, I remember that from the job posting. I wasn't exactly sure what you'd be hoping for, to be honest. Like you said, you can get any other bard for cheaper if it was a story or song you wished, but you sought to hire Whimsical Sweets..."
[20:56] <Kotono> "Yeah, I figured if you want the best, you pay for it," Mr. Farzahd says, "Well, if you can't cut the steel, then find me someone who can."
[21:18] <Andria> Andrea frowns and nods slowly. "Alright, I'm still unsure on just what you'd consider extraordinary entertainment, so that makes it a little harder, but we'll see what we can do," she finally says, as she ponders their options.
[21:20] <Kotono> Noel just looks and shrugs, "Maybe I could throw cards?" he offers, "Maybe get someone big and sparkly or something?"
[21:27] <Andria> Andrea smiles at Noel, turning to their client. "Well, sparkling cards probably isn't what you're hoping for, but Noel's idea might not be bad. What if we use magic to enhance a story or song, possibly add a recreation of some of the fights to add to the atmosphere... would that be sufficient for you, sir?"
[21:28] <Kotono> "Magic, eh?" Rubbing his chin, "Hell, that could be pretty good. Magic impresses everyone."
[21:33] <Andria> Andrea claps her hands, glad that Farzahd seems somewhat interested in the idea. "Good, good! By when do you need everything set-up? I can do a bit of the magic, but depending on the timing, I might be able to get more people to help with setting things up and making it more impressive."
[21:39] <Kotono> "Tomorrow night," Farzahd says, "I'm entertaining some important guests and I need to really impress them."
[21:42] <Andria> Andrea nods again. "Alright, I'll head out and see if any of my companions will be free from their current duties by then so they can help out and just prepare in general."
[21:46] <Kotono> "Right," He says as he waves a waitress over, getting a refill on his drink.
