[23:14] <@Kotono> The walk outside is quiet. While some are starting to come and go, the early dawn light is largely empty of passerbys. Walking to the north and east in no particular hurry, "Do you remember when we last talked about Alicia?"

[23:19] <@Kotono> "I wanted to kill her," Eudard says with a certain disgust in his voice. "...but...you never told her of what I told you?"
01[23:20] <@Demedais> "I did not." Demedais says. "Why?"
[23:21] <@Kotono> "...I wanted to know. You are her friend,a re you not? I don't want to tell her that her friend knew this and kept silent."
01[23:23] <@Demedais> "You also asked me specifically not to tell... and, Eudard, can I be perfectly frank with you for a moment?" Demedais says, turning to Eudard.
[23:25] <@Kotono> "Go on," Eudard agrees to that, slowing his walk down the street.
01[23:28] <@Demedais> "I have seen her fly up to a Cornugon - a rather nasty demon, from all appearances - and shred it apart as if it were a rag doll. I respect your abilities and you'd probably be a match for me overall. ...if it, for some inane reason, came down to a match between her and I, I would be out within moments, most likely. Put simply, I knew I could trust her to not only be able to defend herself, but if you did try something aggressive, odds are she would have disarmed you quite quickly." Demedais says in a low voice. "I did not feel I truly needed to worry about either of you in that situation."

You or I may be talented, but  the capability of divine,arcane and martial fighting she possesses is immense."
[23:31] <@Kotono> "....I see." Eudard says quietly. He doesn't comment on that right away, instead letting himself go quiet. "A cornugon? I...aren't those truly high tier devils? Terrifying."

[23:36] <@Kotono> "Mph." Eudard doesn't answer that, but instead stops. "Alright. I need to return now...and pray, I suppose. Pray and hope that this is simply an elaborate ruse."
01[23:37] <@Demedais> "Do you still have an lingering desire to kill her?" Demedais asks calmly, looking to him.
[23:39] <@Kotono> "Not in that way. The slow building anger's gone, Eudard admits. "I can see her as a paladins truggling with a hard lot now, not just as a degraded, decadanet whore that cavorts with deviltry."
01[23:41] <@Demedais> "Not just as?" Demedais says, a slight grin, before shaking his head. "I understand. Take care, and talk to us if you have any other problems, alright?"
[23:43] <@Kotono> "Heh..." Eudard shakes his head wryly, "Take care as well. T-...someone watch over you," he appends thoughtfully, cutting himself off.

[00:31] <@Kotono> The time has approached as Demedais goes to meet them. Lord Salman's academy has produced them at long last - new champions for the Crimson Guard. Thus Demedais goes to meet them outside of the garrison, finding them laughing amid themselves, in fine spirits and with cloaks of crimson worn.
06[00:33] * @Demedais holds one hand up, hailing the three as he approaches. "Good to see you three in such high spirits, gentlemen."
[00:39] <@Kotono> "Yes," Morund says with a brightness in his voice, "See this?" So he gestures at his cloak, "It's a gift from the Commander for making it this far.  It's modeled after yours, apparently."
01[00:42] <@Demedais> "Heh." Demedais grins at that. "My apologies for missing the ceremony; it was something I had wished to attend. It is good to have you amongst us."
[00:55] <@Kotono> "Yeah, we finally made it," Xavier grins right back, "Through the bumps, bruises...Commander Oberuth training us...Sir Engan trianing us...ow. Fighting other things can't be any wrose."
01[00:58] <@Demedais> "Don't be so sure of that, but their training has no doubt helped to prepare you a lot." Demedais nods. "Plans? Orders?"
[01:01] <@Kotono> "WEll, we'll probably be busy defending the town and dealing with goblins to 'cut our teeth', according to the Commander," Saying this with a bit of his own smile, Daril can't help but laugh. "He says that if it works as well as it did with the first batch, that w'ell be heroes inside of a year."
01[01:04] <@Demedais> "This is probably true, thinking on it." Demedais smiles wryly, shrugging. "Can't hurt, at least. I've given Oberuth my briefing of what else I've seen out in the Barbarian Lands, so it may not be goblins direct you first focus on."
[01:14] <@Kotono> "Well, bring them on," Xavier jests, "We can handle all of them!" Around you the garrison is functioning, working along and working swiftly.
06[01:15] * @Demedais raises an eyebrow. "Don't forget your duty, but... heh. I suppose it cannot hurt to be sure of your abilities."
[01:30] <@Kotono> "We've earned that!" Morund says gleefully, "And we're gonna!"
[01:30] <@Kotono> Darli just can't stop grinning, "I just hope I don't end up on the wrong side of a dragon or a devil."
01[01:33] <@Demedais> "Do be careful, you three." Demedais slips into a slightly more serious tone. "As this world keeps changing, those devils and other rather innately hostile beasts will be more common. You know this, but it bears remembering."
[01:38] <@Kotono> "Then we'll thrash 'em," Daril promises, "We're on top of the world now and we're gonna stay that way!"
06[01:40] * @Demedais raises eyebrows at this. "You're approaching it, believe me, but you're not there yet, lads. Sometime, very soon, remind me to tell you a story; that is, assuming Oberuth hasn't yet..."
[01:42] <@Kotono> "Which story?" Morund looks to Demedais without fear. "Is it a good one?"
01[01:43] <@Demedais> "You'll probably be amused by it at first. It involves gnomes." Demedais says simply.
