I am a huge fan of Diane Duane's works.  I've been reading her Young Wizards series since the 90s at least.  She does a lot of really great stuff though and her ebook store has a sale since her birthday is coming up.  (One day after mine!)  Everything in the store is 60% when you put in the coupon code at the end of the order.

The great thing about her ebook store is that they give you the book in whichever format you choose. So if you have a kindle, you can get it in mobi format.  If you have an ipad, there's a format for that too.  Plenty of choice and some great reads.

There is another author who is featured at the store.  I've never read anything from him but all his stuff is also 60% off.

That's not about D&D!

I actually suggested they make the gaming surfaces semi-replacable, so you could swap them out for almost any surface (backgammon, hex, whatever).  So now I'm a bit torn; evidently they'll be making another version that _does_ do that, but it'll be after the Kickstarter project ... if it's successful.

So I guess I'll have to ... E-bay what I'm getting and then buy the new improved one later?  If I cancel funding on this one and it doesn't get released, then the model I really want will never come to pass....

...or maybe I don't really _need_ what I suggested, even if I would have liked it.  Man, this will take some thinking.
