Mirajane suffers 7 points of Wisdom drain and is afflicted by a morality undone spell (CL 23rd). Note that this ability explicitly overcomes immunity to mind-affecting, so that doesn't help her here. This shifts her alignment to neutral evil. While this doesn't result in a permanent fall, it does take her sentinel abilities offline (except for any ex abilities). It also knocks her favored soul casting offline, as favored souls have to be within one step of their deities alignment. Also, sharp sunshine bestows a negative level onto her since it's a holy weapon and her alignment is now evil.

In short, Mirajane needs fixing ASAP.


The beam hits Mirajane right in the shoulder, making her flinch back from the contact. Her hands start steaming where they hold Sharp Sunshine, as meanwhile the Nessian wades in and goes right for Hanna.

A few things. Her damage reduction of 15/epic and evil does not apply, as the Nessian overcomes it. However, her damage reduction of 7/- does. She also has sublime revelry, which softens the blow. What's that put her HP at?

There are 12 attacks, and Hanna has DR 7/- and Sublime Revelry. So 328/2 = 164, then 164 - 12x7 = 80 damage.
Hanna's hp was (7) 401+20/401 due to rage, and so it would become (7) 341/401

If I read the spell/dr interaction incorrectly and it first reduces DR and then halves the damage, the total damage would be 122 and Hanna's hp would be (7) 299/401. Please let me know if my initial assumption is correct.

Damage reduction applies last, so you're correct.

As Hanna withstands the storm, being maimed all over and yet only being moderately wounded, the Nessian snarls and points at her. It moves faster than the eye can follow, one moment clawing, biting and bashing her and the next standing there as elemental power of all types ravages Hanna. An oversized fireball molded into a tight space, as if trying to suffocate Hanna rather than bloom out.

Battered but not down, Hanna holds her place and parries away the worst of the elemental blasts with her axe. She's burnt, scorched, shocked and shaken, but still up.

Adrian smiles. Despite the magic thrown around and the noise of combat, he smiles. "That it?" he asks, "Expected more." Gaelach shines as he slices into the Necrolytes, hacking and slashing away.

Adrian's sword cleaves an arm away from one Necrolyte, followed by a leaping slash that severs it in half horizontally, going right through the middle of his chest. That devil fades away with a puff of brimstone, another getting a kick right in the groin followed by being impaled in the stomach. As Adrian takes it to the Necrolytes personally, Mei glows with the power of the Triune. She points at the cornugons, her eldritch blast ripping violently into them.

But Adrian stays where he is, enduring. Instead they begin to chant again, hellfire beginning to surround them - fast. It's like before, but on a much larger and more potent scale. They're powering up something mighty, as they chant, "Oblivion, oblivion, oblivion, all hail the Scion of Oblivion!"

Meanwhile, the party has a second to look around the room of slabs. It stretches in all direction a long ways, shadows obscuring the walls stubbornly (and often out of the range of true seeing). It's largely empty, though you can't see much above the slabs while you're below them.

Wall's right behind Vivantha. It divides you into two groups - Hanna's on your side of the wall, just well removed from your slab room battle. If you want to know anything else about it, ask. You were out of range to spellcraft it - you didn't have line of sight and you were busy with a battle well away from it. You'd have to go over and study it if you want details on it. I'd say Hanna could, but she's rather tied up being all ragey.
