Finding Rosa's not hard. Tryll and Calleigh head to the infirmary, where she slumbers in one of Aurora's healing beds. Morniel stands over her, head bowed and lips moving sliently.

<Afina> Forever.

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Yuthirin

"Um." Calleigh says. "Is she gonna be ok?"
What if they're not stars at all? What if the night sky is full of titanic far-off lidless eyes, staring in all directions across eternity?

Anastasia

"In time," Morniel says, looking up. He sighs, resting a hand on Rosa's forehead. "There are no easy answers when confronted with that manner of evil. That she did not break further is a testament to the strength of her soul."

As the two talk, Moore quietly enters through one of the portals.

Go ahead, Moore.

Moore raises a hand in greeting to the others.

Yuthirin

"Well, if she needs anything, you let us know and we'll help out ok?" Calleigh says, waving cheerily at Moore.

"I will," Morniel vows, "Right now the greatest gift is that her body is able to shut itself down lie this. Remarkable for an elf, since they do not sleep as humans do." He brushes her hair back, studying her face, "Some latent human blood in her background, or perhaps an unusual quirk of her body? Or the only answer she can grasp to Lixer's nature is the oblivion of sleep."

"Ohhhhh...did he do something to her head? We can fix that! Maybe! We're brain surgeons!"

"He briefly had a grasp on her soul." Moore explains quietly. "I was here to hopefully just offer her some comfort in words and music if she needed it."

Yuthirin

"We could take a look!" Calleigh offers very plainly.

Morniel raises an eyebrow at this, "What magic do you speak of?"

"Oh, I heard it from Miss Dana. You have powers similar to hers, right?" Moore asks with a look at Calleigh.

"Actually, Sir Morniel, I was considering the use of some magic too, although I don't know if it would help any. Do you think an Atonement might help pull some of the burden off of Rosa?" Moore asks with a hopeful smile. "I know it's... ah... outside of the bounds usually for that, but this is a bit of a special circumstance, so I thought it at least worth a try."

Yuthirin

"Psionic brain surgery! Or psyche surgery. Or soul surgery? I don't understand it, but Tryll does and it usually works!"

"I doubt an atonement will help," Morniel says, "She has nothing she needs to atone for. The sin lies on Lixer's soul, not Rosa's.

As for the other," Morniel considers for a little bit, eyeing Calleigh. "Perhaps," he finally says, "I am not aware of such ever being attempted in such a situation. But such a level of mind magic is rare."

Moore nods. It was worth a thought, at least.

He briefly considers offering to modify her memory so she doesn't remember the time she spent with Lixer, but... ...something about that simply doesn't sit right with him.

"Yes, Calleigh, if you and Tryll can try something, I think it's worth trying." Moore says. "I'll help in any way I can."
