"Hold on," The voice says, closing the spy-hole behind him. The door doesn't immediately open, however.

She decides to give it a few seconds, splitting her attention between this door and the one on top and keeping her scroll of knock close by.

Four seconds or so pass, Jaela about to act...when the door opens. A merman is here, unremarkable. "How much gold do you have," he asks.

Within is a rather large room, several passages winding up or further ahead on this floor. The walls inside are the same stone, though the floor is taken up by a sea shell mural of a trident. The merman quickly swims off in the meantime, calling back, "Wait here."

Mirima just comes in and quietly looks about, while Ellese does the same and then leans in to whisper, "Do you think they've bought it?"
