The Great Druid Hunt (Jaela)

[Anastasia]

"I'm not upset at you," Hanna says, "Just look at it." She presents it to you.

[Corwin]

Jaela dutifully takes a look.

[Anastasia]

It's a child-like drawing. It shows a stick figure with your armor and hair color down on the ground, xes for eyes. Yep, she looks dead. Next to her is a stick figure with red hair like Mirima and another that rather resembles Mirajane. Next to it another Jaela stands, all new and shiny.

"27." Hanna says, shaking her head.

[Corwin]

"Oh this is bullshit!"

[Anastasia]

"It is!" Hanna replies with feeling and a scowl, "27 looked at me and said he just wanted you to be safe, then wandered off. I already yelled at Ithea about it, so that's covered, for the good it'll do."

[Corwin]

"Man, and there's no way to guard from this crap, either," Jaela mutters. "It's not like I could advertise the attempt ahead of time, and I just got back after a stop to celebrate. I figure you used a divination since no sendings hit me?"

[Anastasia]

"I didn't use any magic. I figured it out once I asked Elena where you went," Hanna sighs, and as if commanded, Elena appears.

"Not to interrupt, but Tannin just got back and needs to talk to you, Jaela."

[Corwin]

"Sorry you had to go through that," Jaela says, pulling her mother into a hug. "And thanks for watching out for us, Elena. If Tannin got back, tell him I'll catch him at the courtyard?"

[Anastasia]

Elena agrees and vanishes, Hanna returning the hug. "Congratulations anyway."

[Corwin]

"It's a start! I've still got nowhere near your conditioning, but that's actually what I asked Tannin over. Mind inviting Crystal for me while I catch up with him?"

[Anastasia]

After Hanna agrees, you find Tannin in the courtyard. He's travel stained, dirty, muddy, bloody and generally tired looking. He raises a hand in greeting, sitting against Aurora not far from the entry gate.

[Corwin]

"Heya," Jaela greets him as she waves back, magic sparkling around her fingertips. "Want to get cleaner?"

[Anastasia]

'Yeah, sure." Tannin says, "So there I was, running through the stacks of the Grand Library and all I could wonder is if I'd stain any of the books with blood."

[Corwin]

"How come you got so bloody in the first place?" Jaela inquires, prestidigitation going to work.

[Anastasia]

"A source went bad on me," Tannin says, "So I looked into it for two things - lost demiplanes and insane challenges. There's heaps of old lost demiplanes, most of them not very big or interesting. The owner died and the single portal into it's lost. But there's heaps more that are, entire little worlds waiting to be found."
