It's possible. It's more a question of what the faithful feels. One who has decided to conquer something doesn't give up easily. More than anything else, Tempus is about war rather than conquest. That's an important distinction.
<Afina> Imagine a tiny pixie boot stamping on a devil's face.
<Afina> Forever.

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Nephrite

"Actually, let me follow that up with something to you: Wouldn't it be more in your interests to be at war with Hell, rather than fey?" Moore asks, simply posing that question.

Anastasia

Queen Ilsenine stays back, watching with detached interest. Crystal's quiet and at the ready.

"Why?" Your question's sent back right at you. "Why should I fight Hell instead?"
<Afina> Imagine a tiny pixie boot stamping on a devil's face.

<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Nephrite

"Because Creation would be better served without Hell in it." Moore says plainly. "Can you say the same of fey and of Yggdrasil with full confidence?"

Anastasia

Nephrite

Taking 10 for 76 and blowing Divine Insight.

Anastasia

"No." After a long pause Eldrey scowls, "Praise Tempus, I cannot."

Moore smiles at that. "Then, perhaps if you'd care to follow us, once our business is concluded here, we can properly introduce you to Aurora and you can decide from there if our cause lines up with your piety. Is that satisfactory?"

Anastasia

"Hmph. A stuffed shirt and honeyed words. Hardly the weapon of a warrior," Eldrey remarks, casting his eyes down. "Tiny pixies and a single angel is hardly inspiring, hardly a force Tempus would rally to his banner to wage war. What do you all know of war?"

"Perhaps some of our more battle-hardened can attest." He turns to look to Afina, Jaela and Crystal at that. Moore turns to glance back in the direction of the balor. "Too bad there's nothing left from that thing to really prove the point..."

Ebiris

Afina looks visibly disappointed by this outcome. She hadn't expected Moore to win but he could have at least had a fair go of it and maybe surprised everyone.

"You deliberately chose the most unassuming of us to battle," she criticises the elf. "There is no one to blame but yourself for then being manipulated out of a fight. You ask what we know of war? I have crafted mighty tools of destruction. I have led armies against dragons, demons, and devils. You do not know the name Aurora but I'll wager you recognise that of Abigor? Jaela," she gestures at the other elf present, "And I slew him."

Nephrite

"If he still wants a bout to satisfy himself after wandering so much, I don't mind." Moore says with a bit of a shrug and a smile. "I was asked to win, after all."

Corwin

Jaela very firmly does not pout. If being a unique celestial or a rainbow pixie do not immediately impress, just what must one do for that sort of respect? "Yeah, I was expecting you to challenge me," she admits. And then she just stood here in silent shame for him, she doesn't add. "If you've been here for ages, you'd know Aurora by its old name, Medicant. Except it can, in our hands."

Afina gets a level look, "A chain is only as strong as its weakest link. What use are you if the weakest of you is incapable?" Eldrey challenges, jaw clenching. "You slew the Supreme General of Avernus?"

Then, with a gimlet gaze, "You claim the lost fortress of Medi as well? You are liars or far more than you appear."

"What's even the point with lying about accomplishments with the Crusade, when Moore here just invited you to join said Crusade?" Jaela asks plainly. "Any deception would be revealed at the very moment you returned with us."
