"We must head into the wilds of ice with only our own power to protect us," Afina says, pulling her blanket off once the gate closes behind them.

The clothes she usually wears don't hide any great mysteries, slender hips and a washboard chest giving Afina a boyish look without her typical flamboyant garb to lend a more feminine silhouette, even her short hair looks more androgynous without the long tapering tails of her hat flowing off her head. "I wasn't told how far or long we must journey, but a few hours should be sufficient to prove our resolve. At that stage we must build an altar and dance around it whilst praising Ice, if we are deemed worthy a path to Absolute Zero will open, and far greater dangers will await." She takes a few steps and crouches down, running a finger across a plane of sheer ice, hues of various colours refracting off it from the contact. "I could make weapons of ice if any of you desire. Fragile, and worthless for armour, but sharp enough to suffice for most foes. Moreso if any of you can temporarily enchant weapons."

"A spear would be good," Jaela responds. "I can enchant the set, too, if anyone wants one."

Hanna and Mirajane follow suit, leaving dresses behind. "I'm fine," Hanna says, going through a few stretches. "I can fight with my bare hands."

Mirajane says, "Please, mother. I doubt they'll last long due to the stresses, but I prefer to fight with a weapon."

Meanwhile, Jaela focuses. It happens slowly, covering her. It's harder without her equipment, but she manages it.

Jaela systematically disrobes, nodding to herself in satisfaction. "Still got it," she states, hands on her hips. Her hair is loose out of her usual ponytail for a change, but if it actually impedes her in a fight she'll consider braiding it. She gathers all the discarded clothing into her pack, before spending a few moments half-burying it to prevent the winds from carrying it away.

Hanna and Mirajane's hair are both loose, Hanna's reaching down to her back and Mirajane's similar. They're both very obviously women, in comparison to Afina.

"How long do you anticipate these weapons will last?" Mirajane asks Afina.

"If we're lucky we'll find some blue ice, but we'll make do for now," Afina says, casting greater heroism first before attempting to fabricate some simple weapons out of the ice.

Taking 10 for 49 on crafting checks to make the following:

The resulting weapons are crude, with minimal ornamentation and nothing to serve as a grip that would make handling them easier, although Afina has shaped the ice around where the hands would usually go on the spearhafts and on the grip of her smaller blade to fit around one's fingers so it won't slip so easily, while the actual bladed parts are built with brutal solidity to help them endure the rigours of combat better, enough that they could be used as bludgeons in a pinch if one desired.

"I've built them as solidly as I can manage, but it depends on fighting style. Mine would last longer than Jaela's simply from how we handle our weapons. The main worry is having them melt from our own body heat, although the ambient temperature will help. If Jaela enchants them though, those concerns are far less important and they'll be as sturdy as an ordinary steel blade."

"Thanks a bunch!" Jaela chirps, enchanting all three with Greater Magic Weapon. And then she pointedly stares at Mirajane, tapping her foot.

Afina takes her now mightily enchanted iceblade and nods in satisfaction. "Thank you, Jaela," she says, keeping it in hand since she has nowhere to sheathe it. Picking a random direction she flits to a comfortable head-height altitude relative to Hanna and starts off to find out what obstacles await in deepest darkest Ice.

To Afina, Jaela says, "Now that I think about it, could you form me a holy symbol replica out of ice? It would probably be easier to handle here than a summoned one." She's used it aplenty, but attempts to draw the pattern in the air with blue light all the same.

Afina is utterly unselfconscious about her nakedness, possessed of the confidence that only the truly fabulous can enjoy. But she'll let Jaela parent how she likes without being the sort of bad influence that encourages her daughter to go streaking.

"Yes? Probably," she turns towards Jaela at that question, taking a look at the pattern Jaela is showing before she takes some ice and fabricates it into a small sculpture of the triune symbol.

"Yes, Jaela." Hanna comes on up, laying a hand on your shoulder, "What did you say about copying me?" She smiles warmly, as if inviting you to say something.

"I'll do it if you wish me to, I'd just rather not. I feel like we stand out more doing this than not." Mirajane admits, meeting your gaze with calmness.
