"Seems a proxy for most higher conflicts. The Sword meant to empower a champion of knowledge, truth, and enlightenment. The yugoloth trying to consume it and hold knowledge for power. I can easily imagine Oghma having a finger or two in it. Or one of the other gods represented in this community. I don't know who created the Sword or to what exact purpose, however, so it's simply speculation.

Though as evidenced by the conflict between Aurora and the Devils, it's likely a proxy fight for something on a much higher tier of conflict. Chess pieces and champions and all."

[Anastasia]

"Well, well, an even more interesting theory. Who am I to stand in the way of a good game?" The old man chortles, "Go on, tell that old dwarf you have my permission. I will bill Aurora if the crystals aren't returned, though."

[Iron Dragoon]

"I'd ask for a grace period in case of destruction, but I imagine if the crystals are destroyed, I won't remember the debt anyway. Thank you, High Knowledge Keeper."

[Anastasia]

Sylvie quietly nods and goes right off at that. As you head away, "Nice job," she murmurs.

[Iron Dragoon]

Surraruthru nods to her and gives her a toothy smirk.

"This dragon's good for more than magic. Let's go ruin a dwarf's day, shall we?"

[Anastasia]

With a smirk Sylvie heads on back. A few riddles about bat guano and elves later, you're back at the dwarf. He just gives you a resigned look and passes over six crystals, "Crack a single one and you're paying for them," he warns.

[Iron Dragoon]

Surraruthru grins at the dwarf and gets the crystals into his haversack saddlebags.

"Thank you. I'll do my best to not crack it. A few scratches or fang marks, though... I do so get bored when I don't have my hoard to lounge in."

[Anastasia]

"Your gold paying for it, not mine," The dwarf warns.

[Iron Dragoon]

Surraruthru grins at him again.

"Dragon."

Then he turns to Sylvie, "Anything else you can think of here? Maybe we can find something more on Secretus or the Sword? Or Lixer?"

[Anastasia]

"We go could looking," Sylvie agrees, "Up to you there, trips for knowledge can take time and aren't easy. Good knowledge is always a struggle to find, because that's the nature of learning."

[Iron Dragoon]

"Hmm... Perhaps we should meet the others and see what they've come up with. If the group isn't feeling solid about proceeding, we could consider a trip back here to learn more?"

[Anastasia]

"Right," Sylvie says.

You return without incident. Once you get back to your hoard, you find Kascha's not there for once. On asking, "Oh hi," Elena says, "Kascha's in the library. Who are you looking to get together, since if it's Canderella, she's out with Calleigh and Tryll right now."

[Iron Dragoon]

I'm assuming Sylvie is still with me.

"Ideally Kascha, Vivanthia, Ebony, and Tryll, but if Tryll is out, the others are fine. Any idea how long Tryll's outing will last?"
